Rovers trip to sixth place Stevenage who have 13 points more than Rovers and they have played one less match.
My only trip to Stevenage was another evening match towards the end of the 2016 season when Jake Gosling almost scored but ended goal less in our first ever trip to the Lamex Stadium. At the final end of that season Stevenage did us a big favour at Accrington with a goal less draw as Rovers won a last gasp home win over Dagenham and Redbridge with that remarkable Lee Brown winner and promotion.
Rovers and Stevenage drew 1 1 at the Mem in October.
This will be the seventh meeting between the clubs and Rovers have just one victory during that run an impressive 4 0 away win in 2022.
In the 83rd minute, Chris Martin made The Mem erupt with a long-ranged lob to catch the Stevenage 'keeper off his line and put Rovers back level in the last meeting when Joe B***** was in charge. Rovers side has changed considerably since that meeting.

Huh the op fails to mention the obvious JM offside hand ball that everyone stopped, allowing CM to guide the ball over the Keeper!?
Atrocious decision to allow the goal.
We've had our fair share against, but that went for us.... and we hardly deserved a thing from that match.
Today will be wholly different. How many times have we played Stevenage, where we've been the underdog? Tonight we will be. I don't like SE but you have to give him credit, he's turned Stevenage into potential Championship candidates on far less a budget we pay out.
Can't see anything other than a regulation defeat 1 or 2-0. Castrated-Foreskin will have a field day tonight. He looked pretty useful down here.
Safe journey for all those brave souls travelling, but I thoroughly expect us to be in second half of the division by 10 pm tonight.

I've been to Stevenage for a pre-season friendly vs Rovers (3-3?) and also a dire 0-0 draw at the backend of the Div 2 2015-16 promotion season. DC set up for a draw and that disappointing result meant we could easily have missed out on promotion. Wins against Exeter, York & Daggers saved the day. Thems were the days. Sadly, I won't be in attendance this evening.

After two limp performances and avoiding relegation the only goal, the motivation-o-meter dial is reading a 3/10. I'm still watching the game on iFollow but another performance like the last two and the dial will dip into the red zone, the " I can't be arsed" zone. Stevenage will surely be another physical team, so unless our lads have grown some gonads since Saturday, there will only be one outcome i.e a big Stevenage win. But as has been said before, this is Rovers so a team of world-beaters might turn up. Up goes the hope-o-meter which of course is permanently stuck at 10/10. UTG

1-0 All stood around like statues!!!!!!
Head's dropping already, looking to blame each other. As weekend, no one taking responsibility. This Evans side will be the sort we hate, artful, strong and battling.

Evans booked, I think he's out for a couple of games now. Lucky that we have such strong depth in the squad.

Being bullied by the better team. We are just not strong enough collectively. Hammering awaits

What’s the score with Connor Taylor? Missing him at the back. Assuming injured, how long out?
