It seems unlikely that we'll replicate our lackluster performance against the Grecians last time out so I'm optimistic about our chances today. Looking forward to seeing the newbies in action, assuming they all get some game time. Going for a 1-1 draw but a win not out the question. UTG

A draw, could be 0-0, 1-1, 2-2, hoping for a glimpse of the new signings.

Can they play this fixture on the famous Exmouth beach? For tis where we metaphorically are.
Well maybe not, as it holds fab memories of me snogging LR but that's a different story.
Either way, win lose or draw, does it really matter? I still care for the travelling faithful but today and yonder I would love to see Greenslade feature as well as the gulp digestion of Jed Ward et al at some point.
Today we see the regurgitation of one of our closest fixtures, barely rivalry, that I hope they stay up but have no feelings for one way or another...
If they aren't up together in defence, CM will terrorise them: he's experienced, a unit and hungry for more. Can he hit 20?
I say, yes!: Grecian non Greeks 1 CM hat trick.............3 It's coming, ladies and gentlemen and inbetweeners, enjoy your game your way and always as usual, UptheGas!

We have played Exeter City 97 times, W31, D33, L33, Biggest win 6-1, Loss 5-2 & 5-3 and there has been a 5-5 and a 4-4 draw.. Exeter City were founded in 1901 are known as the Grecians and play at St James Park which has a capacity of 8,720.. Manager Gary Caldwell is 41, played as a centre back mostly for Hibs, Celtic, Wigan, Coventry, Scotland U21, B and Scotland.. In 2003 it was revealed that Exeter City supporters consider their main rival to be Plymouth Argyle. Supporters also share a friendlier rivalry with Torquay United. Following Adam Stansfield's death from colorectal cancer during the 2010–11 season, the club retired his number 9 shirt for the following nine seasons. From the 2020–21 season onwards, the shirt number is worn only by players from the club's own academy. On 2nd September 2022, it was announced that Stansfield's son Jay Stansfield would return to Exeter City on a season-long loan basis & wore the number 9 shirt. Ex-Grecian Cliff Bastin went on to be Arsenal's top scorer & won numerous trophies in the 1930's, 5 x 1st division, 2 x FA Cups & 21 England caps.. Ex-BRFC Manager Paul Tisdale is their most outstanding notable legendary manager, who managed the club from 2006-2018. Exeter are currently in 14th place and BRFC are in 11th, IMO we will win this revenge game 2-1...COYB. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/47/Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg/200px-Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/71/Exeter_City_FC.svg/150px-Exeter_City_FC.svg.png

Flying horses on their badge? Make’s Larry Grayson playing Dick Turpin look less twee.
What’s the pay down there these days? How much does an Grecian Urn?
I’m even older than that joke I sure you.
In what way will the new players change the way we could play? What opportunities to do something different do they bring? Anyone wish to take the challenge of explaining the incoming players from that strategic point of view, rather than just squad players or team improvers?

Rovers have slowly clawed their way into the game and at times played some good football.
Aquilera not only scored a jaw dropping goal but contributed superbly all over the park, another Elliot Anderson in the making.
Meanwhile, Jed Ward is looking confident and controlling the penalty area.
I still think there's more to come from this team so looking forward to the second half.
As for Exeter, lots of pace but not creating much although they did provide a masterclass on how to steal yards from throw-ins

Aguilera has a fantastic left foot hitting some crossfield balls and Harvey Vale enjoying a good first half.
We need a clean sheet our first for 16 matches.
