It's cup fever up here in Norfolk.
Everyone is so welcoming, will it be so at 3pm?
Difficult to see anything else but a home win, but with expectations come complacency, and that might just be our in....we have strikers on form so will always stand a chance of being in that 4th round draw.
I personally think it's a bridge too far. Unlucky ground for us, although we haven't graced these terraces too many times in 50 years.
We'll give them a good sing, let ourselves be known. Over 1600 of us - apparently - so we'll sing and sing and sing, until the first goal goes in.
Play Woods and Grant and we'll be in for a hiding. Ward and Hoole in for me, with LT pushed further up for a free reign.
I'll say a comfortable day for Norwich. 3-1 defeat but we'll not let ourselves down. Hopefully CM to score and no celebration.
See some of you very soon, it's Gas on Tour safe journey all...

We have played Norwich City 57 times, W20, D17 & L20, Biggest win 5-1 home & away, Loss 6-0, our last win at Carrow road was 9th November 1974 0-1... Norwich City were founded in 1902, they have played home games at Carrow Road since 1934, which has a capacity of 27,359... In 1905 Norwich were elected to play in the Southern League. With increasing crowds, they were forced to leave Newmarket Road in 1908 and moved to The Nest, a disused chalk pit. The club's original nickname was the Citizens, but this was changed in 1907 to the Canaries after the club's chairman (who was a keen breeder of canaries) dubbed his boys "The Canaries" and changed their strip to yellow and green. The fans' song, On the Ball, City, is the oldest football song in the world still in use today, the song is older than the club itself, having probably been penned for Norwich Teachers or Caley's FC in the 1890s and adapted for Norwich City. Although the first use of the tune and song is disputed, it had been adopted by 1902 and it remains in use today in part if not the whole. The club's main local rival is Ipswich Town. When Norwich and Ipswich meet it is known as the East Anglian derby. Norwich City F.C. is a public limited company that, in 2003, comprised approximately 8,000 individual shareholdings. As of September 2022, Delia Smith and husband Michael Wynn-Jones are the joint majority shareholders. Manager David Wagner is 52 and has managed Borussia Dortmund II, Huddersfield Town, FC Schalke 04, Young Boys and now Norwich City since exactly 1 year ago today. Notable ex-managers were Bert Stansfield, Bert Gosnell, Tom Parker, Norman Low, John Bond, Ken Brown, Dave Stringer, Mike Walker, Nigel Worthington, Daniel Farke. Norwich City are currently 13th in the Chapionship, BRFC are 10th in L1, a draw & a replay would be a bite your hand off result...COYB. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/17/Norwich_City_FC_logo.svg/160px-Norwich_City_FC_logo.svg.png v upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/47/Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg/200px-Bristol_Rovers_F.C._logo.svg.png

As much as I'd like to see it, I can't see the Gas snuffing out the Canaries today. Let's hope we give a good account of ourselves and make things hard for them. We may sneak an early goal so going for 3-1 to Norwich. UTG!

No reason we couldn't sneak a draw.
Norwich is a nice word, I was thinking that it actually sounds like it should be a species of bird. I checked and there is now a Norwich canary. They are called the canaries as there were so many canaries in Norwich.
I also can't think of one reason to dislike Norwich.
Still laughing at the Sunderland bar story.

I feel a bit privileged sat here eating breakfast and watching TV still before the flight. Have a good day in what sounds like a lovely city, overnighters.

Mum's best friend across the road was from Norwich. They'd meet up for a cuppa and a cig most mornings with a few other young mothers in the street. One year whilst away visiting family in Norwich she bought mum a teaspoon with the word Norwich and the coat of arms embossed in the handle. It quickly found its way to the sugar bowl where it has served as the family's provider of sweeteners to this day. Little did mum know that her maternal family line stretched all the way back to a 16th century family of weavers and dyers in Norwich. It only broke when a young lad in the 17 hundreds decided he'd had enough of weaving and dyeing and joined the army to see the world. He served for 30 years in Cork, Gibraltar and Jersey, where his gravestone still stands today. His shipwright son in Gibraltar moved to Plymouth where he became a coastguard, and in 1901 when my gran was in her first year they packed their meagre belongings onto a cart and wheeled them to Bedminster. A victory today would be sweet but so would defeat as a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. UTG!

Premier league ambition
The new owner of Bristol Rovers said he believes the club can make it to the Premier League.
Hussain AlSaeed purchased 55% of the club in August 2023 and says that whilst he has been busy he has enjoyed getting to work on the team.
His arrival marked the start of what has been a dramatic few months for the club both on and off the pitch.
There was an extended period of poor results which cost former manager Joey B***** his job.
Bristol Rovers announce new co-owner of club ahead of new season There was then a month-long search for a replacement before Matt Taylor was appointed as the permanent successor on a long-term contract.
Since then the club have picked up a number of good results.
There was a fantastic win against promotion hopefuls Bolton Wanderers and then two last-minute wins against league leaders Portsmouth and Charlton to keep the gas in the promotion hunt.
Now, speaking to ITV News, Mr AlSaeed says that the reason he chose to invest in the club was because of the 'incredible potential' he sees in it and in the city.
"We actually first entertained the idea of investment a couple of years ago and we looked at a few clubs but what I liked about Bristol Rovers was the fans and the history of this incredible club," he said.
"We are here in the long-term really and we have big plans for this club.
"The history, it is the fans and the love that you feel when you are here. It is a good start."
Manager Matt Taylor standing on the sidelines Manager Matt Taylor at Exeter's match against Northampton Credit: PA Speaking of the decision to remove Joey B*****, and replace him with the former Exeter City and Rotherham manager Matt Taylor, Mr AlSaeed said it was about progression for the future.
"Well I needed somebody with experience of the championship and a dedicated, professional individual to be in the role.
"When we laid out all the criteria Matt met them all. We truly believe he is the right choice and that is why we decided to give him a long-term contract.
"There is no pressure on him at the moment, we believe in him and he really wanted to be part of this club as well which is really important."
Hussain AlSaeed Hussain AlSaeed has also urged fans to be patient as they look to push for promotion from League One. With the start of 2024 comes the opening of the transfer window leaving some fans hopeful of investment in the playing squad.
The owner though said that more work is expected to be done in the summer.
"It is very difficult to do good business in January. We are not looking for too many changes maybe only a few minor changes."
When asked about the club's ambition and aims for the future he is confident of lifting them to the top of the game.
It is an almighty task with the club currently sitting in League One two divisions beneath the Premier League.
"That is why we are here, that is our ambition. It is difficult and it is not easy we know that. We do not think it is going to happen in the next few years but that is our plan.
"It can be done, the future is bright and we are doing our best and hopefully we are all going to get there together."

I remember watching Rovers beating Norwich 2-1 in FA Cup Third Round at Eastville in January 1964 in one of my early games. Geoff Bradford getting one of the goals. Possibly his last first team goal for Rovers? Drew Man United away in the Fourth Round. Lost, obviously!
