They were ok for Carlisle... My point is that grey is more difficult to pick out than a brighter colour, I remember Terry Cooper banishing the green/black quarters. Think high viz, yellow,orange,pink.....low viz grey used as camouflage by most air forces and navies... That split second when trying to pick out a team mate could be important, thats why bright colours have traditionally been used for football shirts, why an away shirt should be different I dont know. I agree, but unfortunately I don't think we've played with pace split second passing for years. We're too sideways and back. We're in the hangover of the the JAB possession based look pretty but slow and lethargic in build up. It doesn't matter what we wear. I think they're dull and uninspiring too, but weirdly enough that's where I find myself in relation with the club, so it's the season of uninspiring benign mediocreness.

It is undoubtedly the most infamous wardrobe malfunction in Premier League history. On 13th April 1996 - Manchester United were having a nightmare against Southampton. After a horrible first 45 minutes at The Dell, they found themselves 3-0 down to the Saints, who were in the middle of a relegation dogfight. What happened next has gone down in football folklore. Sir Alex Ferguson marched into the dressing team, immediately barked, "Get that kit off, you're getting changed"… and sure enough, United emerged for the second half wearing a completely new blue and white strip. In fairness to Fergie, the kit change worked… sort of. Although United were much better in the second period, they still went on to lose 3-1. But you knew all that, didn't you? As a dedicated Premier League fan, you were already well aware of the details of one of the most bizarre incidents in the competition's history, weren't you ? www.sportinglife.com/images/news/1800x1013/fbdc31e0-29ab-4c80-8917-ef8b2de906dc.jpg

Two terrible kits though anything in red will always have the edge in terribleness over anything in blue

As long as we avoid any away shirt with purple in it. I liked that kit but it has awful memories of that awful season.

That Peterborough shirt might look terrible but it is very noticeable which is the whole point of it.
