We aren't that good and I'm beginning to accept it. The mix is all wrong, esp in the midfield. Maybe if we can get Rossiter back that will change. Brown is my biggest disappointment this season. We are definitely missing a Rossiter Coutts or Whelan to give us a midfield platform to build on and move the focus of our attacks 30 or 40 yards further forward instead of tippy tapping around the back. That should have been the priority for last transfer window rather than chasing JCH. Have said for a long while that this squad contains good players but is unbalanced and I do not get what pattern of play it was assembled to deliver. I’d struggle to pick a balanced starting 11 from it. Its a bit like buying quality ingredients to bake a cake but having no recipe. Woods Martin and Hunt are short term sticking plasters that do not fix the root cause of our issue which in my opinion is centre mid. Wonder if worth giving Grant a go there. He can’t be any worse than Woods was last night can he?

Evans, Mack, Rossiter, Ward, Bogarde & Grant would, for me, all start ahead of Woods in a midfield birth.
I think his principal weakness is his lack of pace therefore he slows the game down when we are in possession and struggles to get back and challenge when the team are under pressure.
When Bogarde replaced Woods last night it was clear that the tempo of Rovers game increased by several notches.
Sadly I think Mr Woods will become a league 2 or National League player before very long.
