Well will we regret not playing the Grecians today when we were playing well at home.
Will a mid week fixture attract lot less fans ? Tuesday matches building up I much prefer Saturday afternoon games
With the Fleetwood Town home fixture on 18th November also likely to be postponed due to international break we will need to schedule yet another Tuesday evening fixture.
Virtual score Rovers 1 Grecians 0 Attendance 7945

Just got in...
Yes, I believe o p is correct, this match postponement is coming at a less convenient time with form, but maybe a good time with injury recovery..?
It appears someone, somewhere manages to take some advantage when coming in, Josh Grant the most forefront in mind, he's shaping into surpassing his prior form!
Today, with the sun out it's a shame we can't converge on the Mem.
I think with their lord mayor's show in the League Cup beating of Premiership club, we could have done well today.
Gas win 2-0. Scott Sinclair and Coldplay. Much too much to drink...ah well 1 outta 3 ain't bad in the real world. (Some s head almost sang that once).
Kebabs all round!

Only trouble is come the rearranged game a icy cold night in November or December less crowd not such much time to enjoy the fanzone music let alone eat kebabs Hate the winter. Roll on summer!

Roll on next sat when I re visit Staffordshire for the day.Going to Beer Albion later where I will meet up with Richard Walker. NB.Is the club's main web site still operating??? Nothing on it for over a week? Not even the match report on Oxford.

Only news we want is bombing stopped in Gaza strip and Israel defenceless innocent children being murdered by indiscriminate bombing needs to stop. Website is poor Andy Downie left and replaced by a less able replacement presumably.

As this thread is ostensibly about Exeter City,I met up with one of their former Directors yesterday at Beer Albion FC.I had forgotten they had dropped out of the league for 5 years. He also told me about the grants that Beer Albion had been awarded for their new clubhouse ,changing rooms etc.Do hope we are aware of anything that might help our own cause.

With our professional staff at the club I suspect they are right on it. Disabled toilets and solar panels on the roof of the new stand.

Yes, it’s a good point Colyton. Whatever line of business, football, education whatever there are usually grants to access to support buildings and meet disability access, learning support, community access and I’m sure many other ‘needs’ to meet legal stuff. But you need knowledgeable people leading the project to know what is available and how to access them. The experience of the last few months makes me wonder if BRFC have these experienced and knowledgable people in place. I hope I’m wrong. UTG!

Dare I mention Ken Masters used to sort grant funding for CT and was fantastic at it due to his knowledge in the area and we all know it went t**s up when his involvement with Brsc was taken into consideration. Pete Aitken and the late Bernard Brain assisted Kenneth in applying for funding but alas I have no idea who even works for the club since the departure of another experienced employee secretary Dave Sams.

Thanks. The position of secretary must be important and the lack of one has cropped up a couple of times recently. Time to get it sorted. Of course they may have done so without telling us.

In early 2022 Tom Gorringe announced the formation of an Executive Committee and the refurbishment of the club offices to provide modern facilities for them. The committee consisted of Tom plus : Nick Reed. Head of Finance David Bright. Head of Sales David Fear. Head of Facilities Iain Paterson. Head of Catering Andy Downie. Head of Media Louise Smith. Head of HR At the time this looked to be a promising development but almost immediately the committee started to disintegrate with Nick Reed leaving after a couple of months ( he doesn’t even mention Rovers on his LinkedIn profile) and the rest following one by one until only Tom and Louise are now left. But the unofficial club mouthpiece still pretends that those of us who have warned about the omnishambles taking place are conspiracy theorists.

I believe Louise Smith is actually acting as Secretary and Head of HR and i think David Bright has now been replaced? I sincerely hope by January transfer deadline they have component personnel to complete the JCH transfer.
