I don't think I have started a match thread.
For various reasons it is my first game of the season and I cannot wait. Will I recognise many of the squad?
I am going 3-1 with plenty of good stuff from us.

I'm full of admiration for your optimism. Vale had a good start to the season but have fallen away, here's hoping your prediction comes true, I'll be watching from my kitchen in Sweden

I am going 3-1 with plenty of good stuff from us. That and/or, like Posh, Vale will sit back comfortably as we strut our stuff in midfield, calmly take the ball off our feet when we get anywhere near a danger zone and break away to nick two goals and three points to take back with them. B***** will blame the half hidden floodlight.

Daughter and son-in-law Facetimed me on the way out of the stadium with broad grins on their faces. It's not every day you see three late goals like that to turn a game around. Our second son lives in Uppsala too now with his girlfriend. They're having their first child in November so it looks like SJ, SJ, SJ in the foreseeable future...

Absolutely astonishing finish to the game. Dead and buried after 90 minutes to the team directly below them then this happened! To be honest I don't get to many Sirius games, been a few times but it's not the same feeling. Hope they stay up though!

Interesting to see in tonight's match day programme the Pirate that Ryan Loft is in both squads!!
Doubt he will play but hope it does not come back to haunt us.
Let's hope for a similar performance like the one against Wigan in last home match.

I want to be depressed on my own viewing as opposed reading others negativity. One of the reasons I havent been so far, is I have had a tour around Scandinavia including Denmark, Norway and West Sweden.

I do wonder what impact our managers outburst last weekend may have on the players, particularly the younger ones. I'm sure he would argue it will 'motivate' them.
Playing under the fear of public humiliation may have a short term impact but its not a sustainable strategy.
I'll be watching and cheering the team on and trying not to let B***** and his antics spoil my enjoyment but the excitement and optimism I felt prior to the Peterborough game has evaporated.
Let's hope I'm feeling a little less morose at the final whistle.

Apparently Big John has a broken hand.
Did he hit someone?
Only 6 on the bench.

We usually play well against teams that play football rather than clogging. PV are playing good football at the moment.....

Martin buzzing tonight. When not on the ball you can see him finding space. Connor Taylor looking solid.

Martin shot, roly poly, miracle recovery.... If that had been the opposition we would have been outraged.....

We have played Port Vale 82 times, W24, D19 & L29, Biggest win 4-0 & 4-1 x 3, Biggest loss 4-0 and there have been 0-0, 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and 4-4 draws. Port Vale were founded in 1876 are known as the Valiants and have played at Vale Park since 1950 which has a capacity of 15,036... The club has a fierce rivalry with Stoke City, as City are based in the town of Stoke-upon-Trent, but only a small percentage of residents in the town are Vale fans. Our very own John Rudge is club president and played 70 games for BRFC from 1972-75 scoring 17 goals.. Luke McCormick has just scored for the Gas after 25 mins, let's hold this lead for 3 important points..COYB. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/42C2/production/_119209071_luke_mccormick_rex.jpg

Debrah off, second yellow. Not a good tackle when you are on a yellow!
