Confirmation on BBC radio Bristol tonight from B*****
Apparently Belshaws agent phoned B***** to say his client was going out on loan which incensed Joey and therefore he has been told to leave ASAP
Such a shame to end his career here that way.

Sadly inevitable given how he has been asked to play second fiddle to some really inexperienced keepers - Balcombe last season and now Cox (and possibly third fiddle behind Hall) this season. Best keeper we have had since Martyn in my opinion and I wish him well for whatever comes after us. I’d have been asking for a move too in his shoes. Hope the two young uns are as good.

Agreed, one of our best keepers, up there with Martyn. I have often wondered why he hasn't achieved his full potential. A bit of a rebel ?

Has anybody got a clue what Belshaw actually did? All I’ve seen so far is a load of fans licking up to B*****’s narrative but no actual facts.

I guess his mistakes on pitch have cost him his position on the surface. Belly wants a loan move away.
I just hope this isn't a DC mildenhall moment repeating itself, because new keep is hardly perfect imo...

If Belshaw thinks he has an automatic right to a starting berth then he is sadly mistaken.
If he thinks JB is wrong to sign another GK which means he has to fight for his place then he is also mistaken.
If you look at the squad there is almost 3 players for every starting berth, which means you have to be absolutely on your money every game if you want to keep your shirt.
This is exactly how it should be and not throwing your teddy’s out the pram because you don’t want to play the game.

Well everyone loses firm, he did, the keeper should be allowed to be dropped like anybody else. His reaction was very poor.

I wouldnt say he lost form - he made a couple of mistakes which cost us points but his performances also earned us plenty too. Balcombe in his first match made even more of a howler which put us on the back foot from the off. I doubt that Belshaw would have conceded that one. Balcombe clearly wasnt as good as Belshaw else we would have signed him and he would have played every game till the end of the season Agree that no-one has an inviolable right to start and competition in every position is a good thing. It makes sense if you sign players who are better or have the potential to be better than what is already at the club. Based on career history of the 2 new keepers I think it is impossible to say we have done this with any certainty do yet again we are taking a gamble on a spine of the team position. It may work out just fine and we all move on from the Belly days but it could just as easily come back to haunt us. None of us know how Belly reacted to being dropped but it would be insane if he wasn’t right pissed off with being replaced by someone with zero league appearances. B***** clearly doesnt think Belly is good enough so in his shoes I’d want a move too. Freeing up his wages will be good for thr club too

I refer this poster to the accuracy of O2's response You probably understood that I was making the point that Luke McC., just like Luke T. before him, is very appreciative of ''B*****'s legendary employee management abilities'' (your words).

B***** is beginning to appear like a real serial dummy thrower Very harsh on one of our promotion heroes His Agent told Manager his client wanted to go out on loan because he does not want to be a bench warmer at his age. His family is in Nottingham his wife has a new born baby his dad is a season ticket holder at County. I presume County can't afford a transfer fee having blown money on a few former stars so loan might be best for all parties concerned?

All very weird.
I actually agree with B***** that doing it on a Match Day is a bit out of order, but what happened between then and the next Saturday? Did B***** and Belshaw/Belshaw's agent not talk

I presume County can't afford a transfer fee having blown money on a few former stars so loan might be best for all parties concerned? I get that, Mike, but why has it taken a year to come to a satisfactory conclusion? All they had to do was sign an experienced goalie last season and bid Belshaw farewell in an amicable manner befitting of a professional football club, not hang him out again this season. B*****'s playing days were littered with cowardly "belly" punches and throwing wobblers. It seems he never learns from it. My remark about dummy throwing is aimed at fans who persist in dummying down Belshaw by saying he's thrown his dummy out of the pram when it was nothing of the sort. B*****'s the expert in that field and shows his naivety as a manager by this divide and rule tactic.
