He certainly did not mention you in the mails i have written and received Les. Thanks for the confirmation. As usual Basel talks of that of which he knows nothing. Perhaps he could learn from Socrates "Socrates believed that the beginning of wisdom was knowing that you knew nothing; that much of what passed for knowledge among “wise” men were their own unexamined assumptions"

I am still in touch. He still goes to games as far as I know. There are many more but i just cannot remember the names, i clicked onto an old thread, which i now cannot remember and found a fair few, if it happened again then i will write them down. I did search a few and some have deleted their accounts and some are dormant I didn't realise he was still going to games. I thought he said he was no longer interested because of B*****? I can confirm that TTWD is not attending games or contributing financially in any way towards Bristol Rovers FC. His views with regard to B***** (and the owner) are in alignment with mine. A decent articulate poster, who just walked away from a Club he can no longer recognise. If I hadn't saddled myself with Admin, it's probably what I would have done.

Just thought I would add, you and I disagree on a few things but I have to say that on balance you and the other mods do a good job. Thank you

I have been exchanging mails with him today. He makes it abundantly clear that Les has absolutely nothing to do with why he left and why he now doesn’t go. The rest i will keep private. I do not wish to perpetuate on any hateful stuff. I would say that his memory is much better than many that i have come across , on a personal level, i miss him posting as, although we are different, politically, there was also lots we have in common and i learned a great deal from him.

Negative or nor running with the herd George, we are all adults and, I’d hope, should be able to post something to counter what you feel is negative. Why not put forward your case as to how you think things are better ?

But what is positive about giving unquestioning support to someone who always lets down those who put their faith in him ? What good does it do Rovers when we can see the same things happening now that have ended with such negative outcomes for JB's backers in the past ?

Who says I give "unquestioning support"? I've said it before and can only say again - it seems be a case of "if you are not with us you must be agin us".

Who says I give "unquestioning support"? I've said it before and can only say again - it seems be a case of "if you are not with us you must be agin us". JB said almost exactly that last year. He said he didn't want negativity at the club but what he really meant was that he didn't want anybody to challenge him which is typical of someone who is insecure and not really confident about what they say or do. And he isn't challenged because so many people think they are being loyal to Rovers by keeping quiet. When he makes disparaging remarks about Steve Cotterill's style of play or Neil Dewsnip's knowledge of the game he makes himself look stupid within football and that reflects badly on Rovers. When he makes excuses about his budget being uncompetitive with the top teams he is never asked why his team performance is inferior to those with budgets half the size he has enjoyed at Rovers. And when things go wrong he hides behind "I'm a young manager learning his trade" (his words) and people love to repeat that. But nobody has the courage to say to him "hold on JB, the managers of the teams which came first and second in League 1 are younger than you, they never played in the Premier League and this is their first managerial job".

So how do I go about registering my issues with the club? Do you report your suspicions about Mr. Al Quadi to the Financially Supine Authority or the Financially Complicit Agency?

I find it to be the other way around and it used to be much worse at the other place but i have noticed more people are now asking questions and other being more tolerant. I guess we all see things differently
