This is the way forward. Owned by the fans. If Higgs had an ounce of decency he'd hand the Mem over and walk away

No one wanted a trust, they just wanted a donation scheme.

That's not true - those who set up the Share Scheme (outside of the board) did so in good faith. And the Trust died a death for many reasons
Anyway, regarding Pompey - they had several rich fans happy to put in money and then have it run in that way.

Unless someone is going to take over with enough bunce to just build UWE we are going to need the people who know the most about the contract they agreed with Sainsbury to fight it to the end.

Thanks dagnogo didnt know the ins and outs of Pompey, havent we got some rich fans?? lol. just thought it might be an idea as I think we may well be in big financial trouble now and we should maybe look at different avenues to look after our club,as it is our club not the directors,A football club is about communities

Maybe referring to the approach by previous directors offering 500k down payment and setting up a fans trust, rejected by Mr Higgs although it is believed he did show some interest, not sure if it was blocked at a board meeting though.

The problem with that as I saw it was I would buy the shares but not personally own them as the shares would be held by the supporters club...that's why I didn't join the share scheme. i would have happily bought shares if I could have retained the ownership of them.

The version I heard didn't mention Higgs as the person who rejected it...

The version I heard didn't mention Higgs as the person who rejected it... As Chairman it was Higgs's responsibility to give the end result, however I know where you are coming from and what you are saying!
