The Colonel is now registered as a Director with Companies House, along with Stephen Lamble, who I believe is the fans' Directors. No sign of Helen Wigmore being registered, so I presume there is only one Fans' Director on the Board, as per the recent Articles which were published.

The old squaddie obviously needs to retain his consultancy fee, the new guy sucked in without realising the possible consequences and the lady very sensibly staying a million miles away from it.

The new(ish) Club Secretary is getting outstanding paperwork up to date. The Articles state there will be one Fans' Director at Board Meetings, I am sure that the lady is not staying a million miles away from it, as she is very diligent, and wouldn't have taken up the post if she did not wish to get involved. I guess that it helps you sleep at night to put your own spin on things.

A few people on here had queried why he wasn't registered as a Director with Companies House - this has been done with the last few days, so I thought I'd let them know.

So is it farewell then Colonel Gibson, known to your friends as The Saturday Afternoon Soldier ?
You will leave behind a wonderful legacy.
Kicking an old age pensioner out of a shareholders meeting he was perfectly entitled to attend.
But failing to carry out your orders to bully the Supporters Club into handing over their last £50K.
We were so grateful to have you

However it’s hard to see what he was actually doing for us.

Was Gibson like Sexton in the past just brought in to give the board some credence during the takeover talks, as it's baffling to see what other reasons he joined the board.
I wonder if this move weakens JB's standing in the Boardroom??

As for it being official, well, despite Chris's best efforts things at Rovers are still a tad opaque aren't they ? June 2021. Rovers' statement says Gibson will be an independent member of the board to deliver "added transparency". He will take on a liaison role with supporters' groups, too, to "ensure fans' voices can be heard at the top level". "As well as this, Chris will be offering his expertise in the areas of business development and corporate management to further improve professionalism and business performance," the statement continued.

Well I guess that's a pretty epic fail on all 3 counts (unless he was solely responsible for giving Steve Lambie 'a voice'). If it weakens the influence of B***** this can only be a good thing.

He was B*****'s introduction so I would imagine his departure will cause friction in the camp and with luck accelerate B*****'s exit.

So long as they are sourced from Stan Montgomery’s contact book of the 60s/70s!! Or they go through a process that shows they are the best candidates for the role. Wishful thinking perhaps? UTG!

Welcome to the club. Are these individuals known? Can't say I've heard of them. Would be interesting to understand their background and what they'll bring to (or take from) BRFC.

This should now work. www.linkedin.com/in/abdullatif-alsaeed-006535b7/?originalSubdomain=kwAbdullatif Al-Saeed and Khaled Alkandari are mentioned on Companies House but in a company [East Twiggs Ltd] that was short lived [2015 - 2017] and dissolved for non filing of documents. Interesting if you look at their addresses in Kuwait their are a lot of Embassies around, so probably nice area but you can't go to ground level to see the properties.... There is a Khaled Alkandari who has worked 16 months at Goldman Sachs in London, uk.linkedin.com/in/khaled-alkandari-8859a4213However there are quite a few others dotted around with the same name. Abdulaziz Alroomi - may be this gentleman... kw.linkedin.com/in/abdulaziz-alroomiNot guaranteed!

Thanks Chesh... what link are you using? find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00051828/officers doesn't show all members. If we have new faces on the Board, then on the face of it this is good news. But. Surely it is the responsibility of our new owner to tell the supporters who these people are and what they bring to the table. In fact a little more from Hussain AlSaeed wouldn't go amiss. Since August 3rd all supporters have is the joint interview given with Wael Al-Qadi on Radio Briz. That did not reveal an awful lot. Supporters don't have a right to transparency. But surely that would help supporter engagement.
