Ronaldo walked out during the game at Old Trafford when he was on the Bench. He then had the temerity to criticise their manager.Whatever the rights and wrongs of these situations ,the Manager has to rule and if players are allowed to dictate then it totally undermines the club.Like Belly and he has been great-but not away at Exeter-.Not easy when you expect to be playing but no player has an automatic right to be picked. Remember Gazza being dropped by Glen Hoddle from the World Cup squad.Right kerfuffle that caused. OK, slight tangent, but it still rankles with me. As Danny Baker (Gazza's mate, I know) rightly said at the time... England are 0-1 down, 10 minutes are left on the clock. You need someone with a touch of brilliance to get back into the game... so who do you want to come off the bench? Rob Lee or Paul Gascoigne?

I agree Colyton and no player is sacrosanct. Belshaw has had some gaffes recently and that may have been due to complacence as he was getting great reviews. But his habit of going walkabout cost us on a number of occasions and he didn't seem to learn I hope he comes back stronger mentally and from a playing perspective. Sometimes we all need a reminder of reality!

Decent point and the clean sheet will be good for confidence. Let’s hope we build on it. We’ll see how good Balcombe is now as I suspect that will be last we see of Belshaw if what Bas has posted is correct. Cant help but think that B***** has made an issue where he did not need to though and this might not be good for us in the long term. There is probably a way back to the bench for James ( and the possibility of a game) , if he apologieses and bucks up. Joe has shown exactly why he's a good manager by giving James a whole half a 3rd tier season to play,he did'nt impress enough,JB quite rightly ignored the popularity of James and has done the fc a favour by signing a better GK in Ellery. The Manager is to be respected and congratulated.
I'm very happy we have a Boss that takes tough decisions. I’m glad we got a well-deserved point, it could have been more. Not sure JB takes tough decisions. The alternative opinion is that he created a problem where there wasn’t one and made Belshaw a scapegoat for his own inability to make decisions regarding the way he sets up the team and to deflect away from his own short comings in the previous weeks. Last night we saw players playing in their proper positions and how much better we looked for it. Why not before? Not sure he deserves respect when he rarely shows it to others and rarely accepts any defeats as his responsibility. I’m happy to respect anyone who earns respect. But JBs management when things don’t go his way is poor and the way he attacks certain players and makes them scapegoats and creates a story to deflect from his own performance does not warrant gaining respect. Let’s hope last night is a turning point and the side can now pick up points regularly to have a drama-free end of the season. UTG!

You’re spot on there Colyton. Agree completely. But… how do we know that Belshaw dictated anything? How do we know that Belshaw has acted anything other than professionally? All we have is JBs press conference when he said it. Do you believe everything JB says? Seriously? UTG!

Any new on Harry Anderson,he was limping last night? Bas, I would say mainly ran himself into the ground, he was great last night, and his workrate gave Evans more confidence and leeway to find some form.

Has played in a variety of positions for us without ever really cementing himself in one. Always puts a shift in and has been consistent whatever has has been asked to do. Would be one of ghe first names on my team sheet

How many " let's hope last night was a turning point" scenarios does he get,, I think we're getting onto the second hand now 🤔

Based on what? 4 games? 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 one of which he was responsble for at least one of the goals and should have done better on at least a couple of the others. I also don’t recall hearing tales of how he tore up trees in the 14 or so games he played for Crawley either - the sum total of his professional career. Perhaps you watched these games to have come to such a quick conclusion? He may eventually prove to be a better keeper than Belly in the long run but right now the evidence says he is not. Bit much to heap on his young shoulders I've yet to see evidence that he will be better than Belshaw at the moment. There was a number of times last night he was hesitant. He made a good save and got got down quick for a tall keeper. I like the fact that he can kick long and in most cases accurately. But better.... the jury is still out in my mind. I think that Balcombe is gradually bedding in to the team. I'm hoping that Belly will fight back and regain his place though.

I doubt he’ll change. You’re right lis. But I’m trying to be fair and even-handed!!!! 😉 UTG!

Joeys comeback to McKennas claims Tuesday was our cup final doesn’t disappoint.
“Based on my CV and his CV, there is no doubt who is the A-side if there was any cup final because he was a civilian until he started coaching.”
Pretty arrogant from McKenna. They are a hell of a long way off the top two so they are nobody’s cup final
