You felt confident going to most Rovers games that the team would get a result?

The PT/Lennie promotion team and right upto the about the time of the 2 3 win at Saints (when Andy Williams turned into across between George Best and Pele for 20 minutes).
Since that time we've gone down hill.
I hope for today, that's as far as it goes.

For most if not all of the nearly season: 1999 wasn't it. Even in 2007 that late season form came as a surprise.

because Ronnie mauge got injured we brought in 2 kids neither were any good Spot on And its been even further downhill ever since - I really miss those few years where not only did I really feel that home games couldnt come around quick enough, but all the away games we went to expecting to see goals and enjoy ourselves as well

Around 1956/7 season I think......"those......were.....the.....days my friends, we'd thought they'd never end" (poetic licence with the words, as they were from the 60's before anyone piles in !)

because Ronnie mauge got injured we brought in 2 kids neither were any good Spot on One of the reasons for sure. There were others as well. The keeper situation was the big one for me. Taylor and Evans loaned in from Arsenal and Chelsea. Lee Jones losing confidence in the final run in. Brian Parkin coming in for Jones. Then there was the defence. Pethick, Challis and Thomson were always weak points for me. Not on the same level as Tilson or Foster. When the pressure was on all three seemed to make silly mistakes. Losing David Pritchard. Forwards who seemed to lose focus in the final run in. Ollie. For all the love I have for Ollie, his constant tinkering in the 6 games before the City win cost us valuable points. If we had got one win during those 6 games all would have been different, I'm sure of it. Ah well. I can only dream of finishing 7th in league one now...

I think it was about the midpoint of the 2010/2011 season. Crazy to think that 4 years ago we were a mid table league 1 club
