For new ST holders. You'll get an e ticket this season.
The club will send you a different bar code for each game.Just show said bar code at the turnstile. On mobile or a printed version.
Don't lose your mobile before a game. Don't have your mobile in repair for a game.
Dave Bright at BRFC. It's his idea.

Not a fan of this system, can see it causing hold ups at the turnstiles as some people may have problems getting to grips with how it works.

Have seen barcodes used at a Liverpool game, everything seemed to move smoothly and they have slightly bigger gates, but admittedly more turnstiles.....

I bought individual game tickets from Ticketmaster last season and downloaded the QR code to my Google pay wallet on my phone. It was quick and accessing my Google pay wallet to scan took all of two seconds and the turnstile reader took the equivalent time. What's not to like?

A poll on the other forum tells us the mass majority prefer the usual plastic card ST.
David Brights idea. Think he's Head of Sales.
On joining Rovers he told us he "wants to make it easier to attend games..." Maybe e-STs will help.

Unless you are a numpty and do not protect them with a case or similar and then drop them.

I find it funny and even perhaps sad that so many supporters moan about BRFC not keeping up with technology or getting into the 21st Century, then when they do they all start moaning that none of them will be able to use the said technology. My smartphone has been in the repair shop for a smashed screen once and it took 2 hours max. How many of the 9,000 supporters are going to have phones in the repair shop. How do they manage to go to concerts, pay for shopping, WhatsApp the grandkids, take the p!ss out of City82ers on social media. Or are there so many ancient Gashead technophobes that the attendances will fall.
As Oldie says you could lose a printed sheet on the way to the game, or you could lose an S/T card. Please get a grip. It's the start of the season. a long way to go and I'm sure for some plenty to moan about!!

As a member of the "aged" group I read some of the comments on this topic in utter amazement. Has everyone been living under a stone for the last 15 years?

I'll embrace it in the way which best suits me - probably by printing the tickets out. I have no idea about wallets on my phone etc, so quicker for everybody if I have a bit of paper to scan at the turnstile.

Then Google Pay is a standard App now and the wallet is in that App. You do not have to load card payment details to use the wallet. It's quicker and more secure than downloading a ticket and then printing it out.

What happens if you print the ticket, but lose it on the way to the ground? Same as if you dropped a real ticket. But in this case you wouldn’t lose your entire season ticket, so that’s another pro.
