Young lad from Salisbury whose name rather annoyingly escapes me will join by the end of the week. Cardiff City made a formal approach for Lockeyr yesterday that was turned down immediately. P.S - Hello everyone. Cardiff are not a premiership club

P.S - Hello everyone. Cardiff are not a premiership club As per earlier discussion in this thread.. They are a premier league club until the 1st of July I believe.

But in fairness Wes, our injury prevention and player rehabilitation program seem to be top notch :wallbang: Partly why i'm surprised we are interested in a player with that type of injury record, but also because he's under contract until the end of the 14/15 season so would presumably require a fee. Not being funny,Wes,but if he hasd those sort of problems why in heavens name recommend him to the club? When i recommend a player i do due diligence on his injuries in the past or lack of them. Its all part of the job

Jamie White would be a good signing for us, reminds me of a young Jamie Cureton. I would have had reservations about signing him if we were in league 2, because i think he needs at least 1 more fully fit season with a big conference club. White, Brunt & Harrold is a decent mix of striker, just need the 4th striker to have a bit of pace. Was watching some clips earlier on and I definitely got the same vibes. LOTS of people giving him chances though, hardly the sort of player who would create a goal out of nothing. Certainly need creative midfield players and good wingers to go along with players like White. With both him and Brunt it would be a case of 'can we keep them fit?' - if we can then things would begin to look good up front. Saw earlier on that we are also apparently looking to sign Matty Taylor? End of contract at Forest Green, hasn't scored too many for them this season but he had a very good loan spell at Chester earlier in the season. Possibly the second player McNamara was referring to in the BEP article?

Concord Rangers striker Lewis Taaffe has been handed a trial by Bristol Rovers. Taaffe can also play in midfield, he will spend two weeks with Bristol Rovers on trail when the team returns to training at the end of june. He scored three times in 16 appearances for the Conference South side after signing from Histon in March. He played as a midfielder for Histon and was the teams top scorer before leaving to join Concord. The 22 year old currently works part time as a 4x4 driver Read more: www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=360116#ixzz33fmxMoczWho is this guy? Any good? Or is this just b*llsh*t? If he is on trial why in heavens name arent we looking at Stokes from Concorde

Jamie White is NOT the player in question. Sailsbury chairman has stated that no approach has been made for the striker.

White had a good partnership with Charlie Sheringham who is out of contract. Seems a decent player at this level, but I think DC is happy with Brunt and Harrold as our target men. I don't know how DC can be happy with Brunt, he's barely played to make an assessment. Harold is the only high paid player ( as much has JJoT ) that no other club is interested in.

It was 2011/2012 and he had basically played two full seasons, one in Australia and one for Winchester City in the Wessex League. He was smashing the goals in and had a better strike rate at Wessex League level than Charlie Austin, so I thought if he was clear of those injuries he could be worth a closer look.

You never know, that player COULD be Gregory. Hell of an intent if we could get him on board.

I got the impression that one striker was out of contract whilst the other still attached to a club. 'Contractual issues' interested me, Andy Mangan could be on the cards I guess. Apparently on huge wages however.
Right now I'm expecting White, chairmen usually come out with statements like that a few days before a player leaves so I'm not reading too much into it.

Did our 14 year old manager mention which week? I doubt we will hear of anymore signings for the next week or so until Clarke returns from his Greek summer holiday.

I thought DC was on holiday the week before last? I'm pretty sure that's what James McNamara said on Twitter.
That's not to say he should/shouldn't be going away on a holiday again now, especially if I have got it wrong that he went away a fortnight ago, but I am slightly surprised!

Not like Cloughie when Derby won the league because Liverpool and some other club failed to get two points.
He was on holiday, and read the fact that his team were champions, in the Daily Mirror. ( I might have made that up)

Recently on Twitter someone had posted a picture of the Beatles preparing for the famous Abbey Road album cover shoot.
George sitting on the garden wall near the zebra crossing having a fag, John and Paul chatting away waiting for the shot to be set up, and Ringo just standing but looking downwards with his head bent.
There were plenty of complimentary tweets with comments about the photo, except one.
This one said: Huh look at Ringo, typical, texting on his mobile ...
