I generally shy away from touching teams, people I support but this is too good to turn down.
Will hill, Rovers are evens to finish top 12. Bizarrely Bradford are 1/2, we are above them with 2 games in hand. The whole book for this looks askew to me and I guess they don't take lot of money on it.

As i haven’t gambled since i got into 14k of debt , as a naive 18 yr old, i lost touch with it and how the odds work. Can you tell me if this means that if you bet a pound, you get a pound back plus your stake ? I promised my parents, who paid the debt and i paid it back over 4.5 years, that i would never bet again but this really does seem too good to not have a few quid on it, while it remains so

I doubt we're still evens to finish top half.

Yep KP, evens is your stake X 2. £10 gives £20 back. 6/1 to finish top 7 seems pretty generous as well. 4/7 to finish top 12 now.

I think if it's just a one off and money you can afford to lose then why not. Maybe if you have an addictive personality it would be best to forget all about it. I can't get to all the matches due to work so have put on the money I would have spent on that and I'm comfortable if I lose that stake.

Sometimes, the worst thing to happen is to win. Makes you feel all-conquering, and you can't wait for the next opportunity - though I think you already know trhat.

I would be happy to have taken those odds and thank you for explaining, i really have not bet since that time and i promised I would never bet again. Don’t do it. Plenty of other things in life to enjoy that haven’t previously brought you misery. I don’t think you understand my friend, i have what the medical and psychiatric community call an addictive personality, if i bet and win then i don’t think of the win but how i should have put more money on the bet. I know it was close to 4 decades ago but i know i still have that trait. I have to be very careful on the company i keep too as i can , after a few scoops, be daft and do /take what others have. I had Brook to win inside 6 by TKO, my original bet would have been round 4 but me and the good lady had a friendly bet and boom, Brook does him in the 6th. Man, i have called some very good bets in the last year. If i was your average Joe, forgive the pun, then i would be a fair few quid up. I also promised my parents that i would never ever bet again and , even though they are gone, i fight to keep to that. I would have been in deep poo if not for them paying my significant debt off. Sorry for digressing ladies and Gents

On 20th February 2007, Rovers had played 32 games (two more than the current side) and had 44 points (the same as in 2022). Outcome:promotion via play-offs. On the same date in 2016, Rovers had played 31 games and had 50 points. Outcome: automatic promotion. On average, we will need to win all our remaining home games and draw all of our remaining away games (or compensate one for the other) to hit the sort of points total in 2022 that is normally enough to make the play-offs. Remember, if you get into the play-offs, you actually have to win them to achieve promotion!
