On a positive note, when was the last time we were unbeaten in three games?

The red card was for violent conduct. What did he do? Elbow into Grant’s face. Was a proper 3 game ban job that.

Extremely frustrating! We have to finish teams off,but we did actually have much to be happy about. Another point away from home. 113 minutes with ONE shot on target, and 9 men at that time, and your happy with a point, ............surprised someone never lost his rag tonight, but i sure would not want to be in the away team dressing room after that ending

Stoppages did not help in second half. Thomas should have scored. Not convinced Pitman was offside, don't think that linesman gave us one offside in first half.

Happy with chances created - not finishing - and possession eg. It's done,we just have to finish teams off. Joe is doing a great job.

Given that Pitman was never offside, I’m more jarred off that we didn’t win 2-1 rather than we didn’t win 1-0.

There have been plenty of matches without Barton as manager when playing with big tempo and looking certain for two nil lead, a man advantage has us changing how we play to a slower knocking it around tempo. We have seen it many times down the years. You are absolutely right Bas, fans, manager and players should put it down as one off freak otherwise we could talk ourselves into momentum switch ahead of another tough game.

Interview character assassination of Luke Thomas ... keep it shut for once Joey. Don’t over react to this one Joey. Don’t wreck the momentum or build pressure on next match. it’s a dressing room that shouldn’t need reminding it’s feeling embarrassed or hurting, simply say remember how this feels, and tomorrow me and my team will calmly explain exactly what you did wrong.

We played very well in the first half and well enough in the second to get the win. Should have been 2 or 3 up and that’s the weakness of this side at the moment. Too many dropped points from winning positions. With Whelan, Coutts and Finley in midfield we should be able to close out a match like this. How were we so exposed against 9 men for their goal? Not good enough. Lots of good performances but we should have won. I’d like to see that Pitman disallowed goal again. Hard to say on ifollow.
Salford were a disgrace, they were dirty and set out to foul, elbow and hurt our players. How Elliot was not booked for his push in the opening seconds of coming on and then went on to foul Belshaw for the long delay is puzzling. Had the linesman given offside at the start, Belshaw would not have needed to come out, he wouldn’t have been fouled and injured. The referee smiled his way through the match as if safety wasn’t important. They were totally unable to deal with Salford’s approach. No wonder JB was so angry at the end.
Difficult at the moment but we played very well before we got to their penalty area and before that total cock up with their goal. Move on to the next match now and try and play as well as we did in the first half.
UTG!

Just got back..
First of all and more importantly, I hope fella carted out is ok.... thoughts with him and family.
Second of all, big shout out to Ripley. M o m by 3 stunning saves, 2 of which in one move.
Well well well.... well done us to again throw a winning position away.
Almost complete dominance, a brilliant display no matter how many we were playing against. It's just a shame we can't put the game to bed.
Very encouraging though....let's hope we can continue fine form and unbeaten run into Saturday.
And big shout out to our large vocal support....on a Tuesday night!? Away days - can't beat 'em!

Having watched the highlights, Pitman looks offside to me. He is definitely offside for a long time before the ball comes in, and definitely offside from a fraction after the cross and onwards to the header. The problem is, that you can see when pausing the video, that it is difficult to tell whether he is offside at the exact moment the ball is played to him (and the angle doesn't help). If he does come back onside it is for such a fraction of a second that it would be impossible to know in real time.

The angle doesn’t matter because you can see the penalty area white line. Pitman (far left) is on it and a defender’s clearly ahead of it if you freeze the frame when the ball is played forward. I find it baffling that anyone would say it's "definitely offside" Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

From the sublime ( Oxford ) to the ridiculous, ( last night ). There`s no doubt it was a decent all round team performance, but even against nine men in the 95th minute, it was no surprise to me that we couldn`t keep the ball out of the net. It was a good evening though. The banter between our fans and their keeper throughout the second half, was worth the price of admission. And to be fair to him, he played his part in alerting the officials as to the medical emergency on the terrace. The guy carted out, looked in reasonable shape. Conscious and talking.
UTG.

Yes, I quoted you out of context but you also said "Pitman looks offside" and he clearly looks onside to me both before the ball is played and when the ball is played. Where he was prior to that or where he scored from isn't relevant. I remain baffled but football is all about opinions and I welcome yours. When we reach the Premier League, we'll have VAR...

Thanks for the report o2o2bo2ba. As I thought much to be happy about, although only drawing after all that is very very frustrating. We dominated an away game. We need a ruthless edge as I think Joe mentioned. Use our domination, keep concentration levels focused and high. Finish em off!
