You are not only wrong but are making a bit a fool of yourself trying to defend your view. If you need "proof" listen to DCs interview. He quite clearly states we went to 442, lost a bit of control so went back to 352. And that's what everyone else seems to have seen. Never mind, eh? I don't think it was deliberate. Clarke didn't want to criticise Gosling, that's all. There was no change at all on the left hand side while Gosling was pottering about in no man's land on the right. I admire your persistence!!!!

In the game I went to yesterday ... Gos came on for Leadbitter, playing right wing before half-time, with James Clarke moving over to right back, as evidenced by him taking throw-ins in the opposition half. That's not evidence of anything! Clarke did cover for Gosling, undoubtedly, but that was because he wasn't doing his job, not because the formation had changed. You are not only wrong but are making a bit a fool of yourself trying to defend your view. If you need "proof" listen to DCs interview. He quite clearly states we went to 442, lost a bit of control so went back to 352. And that's what everyone else seems to have seen.

I was convinced we went 442 when leadbitter came off for gos. Looked like 2 banks to me. Dad said we stayed 352. If so, sincs was right , lines Clarke mid, gos left....who was the other midfielder. Stayed 3 5 2 all game
Gosling went wide right when Leadbitter went off
Gosling Clarke Lines midfield 3 in 2nd half , Brown & Sinclair wing backs
We didn't. DC confirmed it in his interview as well

I thought we went 4-4-2 when DL was stretchered off, with Gos right wing, Sincs left wing and JC moving over to right back. We seemed to lose our shape a bit and Barnet were getting back into the game. After the break it looked to me like we went back to 3-5-2, with Sinc and Browner deployed as wing-backs, but it was difficult to tell !! :-D It was quite a fluid formation, with the shape changing when not in possession. Whatever it was, we re-gained the initiative and played the ball about nicely. That's what happened. Went 442 up to half time then 352 after the break. The only time we weren't in control was when we were playing 442

He wasn't tested enough to make a proper judgement but the thing that stood out for me was how weak his kicking was. He was struggling to reach the halfway line from goal kicks. At 6ft 8 you'd expect him to reach the other box.
It suggests to me that he isn't a natural footballer.

100% support for the Mods here. I know (secondhand) that Jo was quite upset by the reaction she got.
A small part of it was offensive, and while many leapt in to shoot the idiots down, the mods were left with a difficult decision.
We should all support the Mods. If you think they got it wrong then volunteer as you could clearly do better.
It's a thankless task but Thanks guys for your efforts.

Until there is a better option Higgs is the best option.
"I'm angry, Higgs has to go" is what you just said. You haven't said what happens next.
Got a better option?

Bored at work today so was looking at various Rovers related stuff on the interweb. I reckon two of our players will reach milestones on Sunday - assuming they play of course !!
Matty Taylor is on 49 appearances so will get his half century at Wembley - not bad for a completely useless player in his first season, eh TBone?
And Tom Lockyer is currently on 99. Wembley will be his100th game, what a way to bring up your ton. And he is still only 20.

Consensus on this thread is Leadbitter over lockyear, but we all know that DC admires Tom Lockyear and has played him at the expense of others. I don't think it's a discussion, I hope we are all proved wrong though and Leadbitter gets the nod. Really, that's not how I just read it, consensus is Lockyer on my reading.

5 clean sheets in 6, the other being the foul of Puds. Mess with that at you peril

PS - I didnt clap the other two. Clough blew all chances of that in the first leg and Coles is just an idiot

Pipe came back on the pitch to "warm down" at the end but it looked to me that he was possibly just having one last look and feel of the Mem.
When he left the ground was emptying but he clapped the Rovers supporters and 90% clapped him back.
I clapped, I think it was a farewell clap and he knew it.

If you analyse the season as a whole I think the opposite is true.
Sure the last minute Dover goal was a kick in the guts but we lost it in the first week.
After 3 games we were 8 points behind Barnet. Since then we have been the best team in the league.
So stop feeling sorry for yourselves you miserable old buggers and let's go to FGR KNOWING we are the best.
Positive heads only this week.

The decision to try and catch it rather than tip it over was the mistake regardless of the foul. Can't see Lockyer not playing in any formation but right mid is the key position. Not sure what he will do there. He may go 3-5-2 again and that suits Leadbitter

Perhaps we should drop Lines as he didn't stop the cross coming in.

I have 2 under 18 tickets as my boys aren't going now.
I don't want anything for them, just want them to be used.
