Ah the story of BSS which rather proves the point I've been making. The board wanted him on board but didn't want to make him a director but they knew if they put him forward as the Supporters Director so few people actually bother to vote (despite people investing £1m) that he would get elected over David Brain. The point being that everyone is happy to moan about things but won't actally do anything to change or make things better.
There are elections coming up for all those wanting to do more for BRSC:
bristolroverssc.co.uk/2015/06/16/brsc-elections/
Will somebody oppose Ken?
Unless Rod stands again I'm not expecting anyone else to stand. A great opportunity for some on here though.

And you should've sorted out their poor website. Oh no you're off the hook you've done exactly what everyone does on this forum f all. Congratulations ........ Well you're entitled to your opinion of course but contrary to your view that everyone of us on this forum do f all, just reading one of the threads currently on this forum actually disproves that. So come on then impress us all, list all the things you're doing for the club that we could also be supporting you with Your right people like Jon the Stripe do great things, he also doesn't seem to complain about webpages on the Supporters Club website. The point that people obviously are unable to grasp is that if I was offended by that bit of the website then I would offer to do it better. Of course none of the arsehole moaners on here will ever make that offer & to defend themselves they will talk about the past as if the past is important. I mean f**k it why don't we all go out tonight & kill a German in the name of the past?

Thanks for that sweeping generalisation CGH, makes us all feel better on a Saturday morning.... The forum regularly deals in sweeping generalisations & not noted any of the mods objecting to that. Perhaps the pinned 'Forum Rules' should be updated to say sweeping generalisations aren't allowed.

That's who I had in mind. He might have missed the point, but he put the hours in when doing so, and toed whatever line he was given.... until he was declared 'not wanted on journey'. More to the point though, the list of energetic and talented people who used to do stuff but no longer do is extensive beyond coincidence. Ah the story of BSS which rather proves the point I've been making. He will either sink or swim this season in league 2, good attitude and sensible wages makes it a risk free signing. Needs to get fitter, play on the left wing & add a bit more swagger to his game and he will do okay. Oddly I have to agree with everything you wrote there. Think we need to see him on the left this year as if he plays on the right his only option is to cut inside, for a left back that is a dream just continue showing him the outside & let him run into a dead end.

Don't comment on the forum unless dagnogo agrees. Arsehole No need to be abusive. Talk about "cage well and truly rattled". You mentioned that no-one who criticises offers to help, which you do as part of your oh-so hilarious "controversial" thing where you disagree with any criticism anyone has of the club. You were proven wrong, and you didn't answer his question. Say what you want, I'm not going to stop you. I do apologise for rattling your cage but it is so just easy.

Right lets go back to my original post "Looked at it tonight for the first time in ages. Was shocked it seems the supporters club is in the fight v Sainsburys" Tell me where in that comment it says that I am putting down the SC. I was shocked as there was more news about the legal fight than I had heard. Yes I do not agree with the silly graphics used. The SC website is a thousand times better than it used to be, so credit there. As for the eternal response, is it? I have had conversations with a few people at the SC. What qualities / experience do I have? well my family ran a successful business (builders / DIY merchants). 22 years logistic (warehouse and supply, won't bore you with qualifications). Have ran two businesses myself, and currently run one (as well as working full time). Have ran 4 music / beer festivals, might not seem relevant, but I hold brewery awards for cellar work and distribution. Add to all that, in my spare time I love web design etc. I am not biting, just putting it out there. The merchandising committee was a good idea pity it was not followed through. We all know the club has been haemorrhaging money, why oh why not use the skills are the fans, who love the club? Don't expect him to answer the question, he's just trolling. Don't comment on the forum unless dagnogo agrees with your comment, Arsehole

No the world survives on people sat on their fat arses moaning that they could do it better if only they could be bothered. So luckily you are a fully fledged member of a very big club. Give yourself a pat on the back you've done well tomorrow everything in the world will be right. No, not everything in the world will be OK tomorrow, but let's concentrate on the SC shall we?
As a SC member and SS member I feel perfectly within my rights to comment on how the organisation performs.
Is that OK with you?
You'll comment whether it is OK with me or not but as you require my affirmation yes it is ok. I don't require anything from you so will keep commentating on those who criticise others whilst doing f**k all themselves

Not me criticising is it, something you missed oh smart one. It was just a question. But it drew the exact response I expected.
So, in life you can only comment on things people are doing badly if you have offered to give time to make it better.

The eternal response on this forum It's almost as if your heroes refuse help, ignore people and treat them like crap, isn't it? I criticised the running of the club once or twice, but then I stopped aa I had the temerity not to stump up several million quid to buy it. Heroes? You'll have to help me with that one, are Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher god rest their souls now involved in running the SC? I'd concentrate your limited intelligence on counting up how much money you have because it certainly isn't a million quid.

I'm sure the Supporters Club would be grateful of any help from those that feel they could do better. As the OP I would like to state what shocked me was the amount of news stories about sainsburys and the use of the use of dodgy graphics. On the whole I would agree that the Sc website is much better than it used to be. So that's one person not offering them any help.

I'm pretty sure the WRU didn't put any funds towards the stadium build, but they do channel funds to the regional teams (there is only 4 of them, with a feeder sytem underneath). Indeed the council's funding of the stadium followed the sale of land for the large retail development alongside the Liberty Stadium. It is not all plain sailing at Swansea - questions are still being asked about whether state aid rules were breached as the following articles reveal: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-25559959www.southwales-eveningpost.co.uk/Stadium-probe-called-Scarlets-Liberty-Stadium/story-25953139-detail/story.htmlHowever, the last line in the last article, suggests that diverting public funds to the development of a stadium is widespread in Europe: A Swansea Council spokesman said: "The European Commission has asked us a number of questions in relation to the Liberty Stadium and we are in dialogue with them, as are a large number of sports clubs from across Europe." The state aid thing will go absolutely nowhere as many of those being investigated are Spanish clubs one of whom is supported by the Spanish Euro commissioner responsible for investigating state aid. More corruption in the world's second most corrupt organisation, you have to thank Fifa for something, and another reason to leave the corrupt cesspit.
