And a great kit, too, apart from it being a little too pale blue. But white shorts and hoopy socks every time for me.

I have never known any other clubs fans make such a fuss. I would imagine the conference must be thinking wtf is this ? You either go or you don't. If you are that principled & outraged then don't bloody buy a ticket. It really is that simple. I kind of had sympathy with some, at first but the constant whinging has really shown us in a bad light as I see it. Time to quit the bellyaching and if you are going then get behind our boys. It is what it is. You can watch it on TV, that is if you're not incensed at paying the price for BT sport. I agree with you KP. It's an over-priced rip-off, but it's the same for all playoff final teams. That's modern football. You either accept it and cough up, and hopefully enjoy the day - or you don't go and find another way to watch or listen to it. We aren't being singled out for a shafting by Wembley, Seetickets and The Man. Everyone is being taken advantage of, and many are willing to continue paying that price to see their team on a big day out. I'm not sure if other teams' fans have moaned as much, but they certainly can't have moaned more.

All about going to the Met Bar and the Globe in Baker Street, also I've heard Yates' Bar in Leicester Square. Not going to the Green Man, it will be absolutely packed and full of shirt wearers singing the Will Puddy song. Really don't see the attraction in going to an awful pub in North London straight away, going to make the most of the day out in Central London first with all the Gasheads. UTG Guess I'll fit right in then as I don't even know the Will Puddy song! I think you'll find you do know it. Whether you would want to sing it is another matter altogether.

What are the answers to those questions then, based on what you know, understand or surmise? Go Google, that's what it's for. What a strange character you are.

I thought it was BRFC, yes. Maybe it wasn't. Instead of asking cryptic questions, wouldn't it be more helpful to spell out what you know or are suggesting? If you do that, then I can respond again. I might even agree with you. As it is, I don't know what you're suggesting. The questions aren't cryptic, they are pretty simple. What are the answers to those questions then, based on what you know, understand or surmise?

Simple really our debts would exceed our value/income, should we lose the case we'd be forced to pay our solicitors costs, Sainsbury's solicitors costs plus also pay back the Wonga loan, all on top of the exsisitng debts (£5m+). If NH then decided he wanted out, which happend with the Chairman at Hereford, & possibly Salibury, how would we manage our debts? The next 7 days could well decide if we have a league/Conference club to support or not come August. Is it BRFC that have brought the case against Sainsbury's? Is it BRFC that went to Wonga? I thought it was BRFC, yes. Maybe it wasn't. Instead of asking cryptic questions, wouldn't it be more helpful to spell out what you know or are suggesting? If you do that, then I can respond again. I might even agree with you. As it is, I don't know what you're suggesting.

Wembley edition polo and t-shirts have been available on the club shop website for several days now. It's not a special Wembley replica kit or an early release of next season's kit, but it's something. They are official, bring some money to the club, and are reasonably priced. www.brfcdirect.co.uk/best_detail.asp?prod_id=476#prod_anchor

Far better, in my opinion, is to park near the Metropolitan line. Top tip is to park near Northwick Park tube station, especially Northwick Avenue, which the tube station is on. Loads of suburban side streets, no parking restrictions on a Sunday. 2 stops from Wembley Park, or about 6 minutes. Postcode for satnavers is HA3 0AT.
How do I know this? My in-laws live directly opposite Northwick Park tube, and it's a very (but not massively) popular destination for clued-up footie fans when big Wembley games are on. I visit the old codgers very often, and over the years I've seen dozens of playoff days where loud Northern-type folk in red stripy shirts pull up outside or very near to the station, stress-free, and hop on the tube for a short trip to glory (or hell).
Leave the M4 at J3, follow the A312 signposted Harrow, join the A404 to Kenton and Northwick Park is 2 mins drive from there. 10 mins drive from leaving the M4.

Heart says 3-0 win. Bitter head says early FGR goal and a 1-1 draw. Then pens. Lottery.

As anybody tweeted BSS to ask why this can't still be done/wasn't planned already in advance? I'd almost forgotten about BSS in all the excitement of the promotion push. He's been very quiet for a while now, on both main forums. What does he actually do nowadays? He may be very busy doing "stuff", but what is that, recently? Genuine question!

So if no-one knows and we are all making assumptions ( which I agree). Why do you constantly try to prove your point ??. maybe because people keep saying things like, So, people are protesting in orange shirts based on assumptions? I think these assumptions are the same ones that allowed the case to be fast-tracked because there was a genuine case to be answered, despite Sainsbury's objections. You are so relentlessly negative about everything concerning the club and any posters who disagree with your bitterness. Are you trying to save us all from something which you understand better than the mere mortals on here, or are you so far gone down your crusade that you no longer remember your roots, which I assume used to be something resembling a Bristol Rovers supporter? You seem to have moved some way from that.

I've just had a terrible nightmare vision of the court case going horrendously wrong and the judge exceeding his powers by not only awarding costs to Sainsbury's, but ordering that the football club is handed over lock, stock and barrel. Would we have to change to an orange home kit? If someone tried to give the FC to me I would want some cash as well to take it off their hands. What would honestly make you feel - if not happier - then more content? We win the league tomorrow and then the court case, and Nick Higgs is transported around Horfield in a sedan chair as the Risen King? Or we fail tomorrow, and in the playoffs, and in the court case, and Higgs is hounded from the club from the tradesman's entrance?

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but but just passing on some information. I work with a Millwall fan who has seen him in action (and inaction). When I told him we had signed Easter, he said "Good luck there mate. Waste of space. If he plays he'll be crap. If he plays at all you'll be lucky."
This is not a wind up. I was told this some weeks ago, but I didn't comment because I wanted to give him a chance.
Not my views - just telling you what others think. Kill me if you wish.

Christ, I'm gutted that we lost out on automatic promotion. No surprise there I suppose.
The only thing that did shock me a bit was that the season ended today. I thought we still had one more game left. Must have been wrong there. I'll join the family hearse once I've got my funeral clothes ironed.

Can't answer this until we know if the new owners are:
Nick's cousin; MSP Capital; or Bristol Sport

What if they beat Barnet and we lose to Dover? If that happened I'd stick my head in a oven. If it was an electric oven, it would take some fortitude to leave your head in until you shuffle off. If it was a gas oven, you'd need a match as natural gas won't kill you. I'm sure this was a little joke, but just in case it wasn't, or if any young or foolish readers are on this forum, natural gas will kill you if inhaled for more than a few seconds. Probably best not to test it.

I've found the whole thing a bit tense. Every game started as one we were expected to win (and didn't), and now has turned into one we have to win (and do).
But unlike 20 years ago, where if we missed out on promotion, we could just say "drat it" or something stronger, and dust ourselves off for another crack at the Championship.
This year, it has been a bit stressful from day 1 because of the urgent need to get out of this division. Another year down here - maybe we might survive, but as a much-reduced club in terms of budget, player ablility and perhaps fans. Two or three more years then gawd knows where we'll be.
The big crowds from us, home and away, have been nice to see, but perhaps predictable, as they were with Luton Town.
I agree with Deebs who said above that it could be a be a blessing in disguise IF we go up. Instead of starting a season in League 2 hoping we don't cock it all up, we might actually start one with great positivity and a chance to storm the division, as newly promoted Conference clubs so often do.

O2O2.... I dislike Higgs immensely. And Dunford and Bradshaw and the rest. They've done nothing to reward fans, I agree - because they don't have to. My concern is that the same people who promised action after relegation will do so again if we don't go up, then we'll have the summer and it'll peter out. This forum is a tiny percentage of the matchday crowd. Anyone who tries to do anything gets worn down by abuse from the one-eyed idiot element, those who'd buy Rovers loo roll if Barry charged them £20 a sheet, those who still believe that Geoff and friends deserve credit. At some clubs, there'd have been riots. At Rovers, we have a moan, and we move on because hey I've never been to Alfreton before and it's a ground to tick off. I was one of those who started The Wellie Group - when we set out on our actions we sort of knew that the aims would probably be to ruffle as many feathers as we could before the season started - even that was incredibly hard work - trying to get The Board to agree to a Q & A for all supporters. We (supporters) have since been let down about the promises of more Q & As. An Independent Supporters club would be my dream whilst we have The Board that we have. What does anyone think ? I thought one was set up with BRISA, which was running in tandem with the Wellie Group for a while. Was it Jon the Stripe that set it up? Might be wrong there. Anyway, it seemed to fizzle out, unless anyone knows better. Not sure what happened there, unless, as I seem to recall, the meetings were so poorly attended that it just faded away.
