Funny how the open letter failed to even mention the relegation and poor start to the season knocked out the league cup at home by a club considered by many as a limited club in Gloucestershire. No mention of adminstrative problems with their new ticket partners and unconvincing way fans have been treated by Ticketmaster awaiting tickets by post. In my view that has to be more of a priority that asking BRSC to give £50k and to take away their 50-50 draw and stop their members volunteers selling programmes which ultimately was for the benefit of the FC. Lots of longstanding fans feel a disconnect from current team, club and manager. Wael should address that concern rather than infer the SC have attacked him when asking for shares paid for and not forthcoming from their substantial investment. That was why the EFL were consulted to put pressure on club to provide what their members had purchased. The letter was clearly addressing the issues raised on their website, it was never intended to be a general update on the present position at the club.

Added to that we have sadly had the added financial pressure that relegation brings.

I think me and you would get on very well Seth. Can I join you (and then we'll have a clique)? How many members have you got?

I thought most of us were aware of that but most of those I was with yesterday said they wouldn't buy a ticket from now on as it is now under the control of Tom Gorringe. So Jim and his SC does have some hardcore supporters although they will remain as a tiny minority imo. That's up to each individual. And slightly different from the point I was making. If some want to be publicly critical about perceived treatment of volunteer staff (taking the soul of the club, folk been working tirelessly for years treat like X, etc) I hope they will be equally publicly condoning with the news from the club that they are working directly with them with a new opportunity....? Interesting! A new opportunity. Something on top of programme and 50/50 ticket selling maybe. I'm curious to find out if the club can improve on the current raffle. It always used to surprised me at away games that other clubs raised nowhere near as much as us with similar 50/50 schemes, while also impressing me about ourselves. Clubs like Charlton with twice the attendance raising less than us, and some really paltry amounts in some places.

I would suggest that, without a debt burden, Rovers offer a better longer term prospect with potential support than Wigan and Swindon, IF successful. We’ll have to agree to disagree about Wigan and Swindon. For many years I placed great emphasis on the Rovers potential factor but I’ve found that what buyers are looking for is a club which is ready to go with a fit for purpose stadium. Their main priority is the football team with any infrastructure improvements coming on the back of football success . That’s why I’m advocating Gasheads stop cheering his every move, start to politely question him on his strategy and not be put off by a response of “stop worrying I know what I’m doing” because that is exactly what Nick Higgs loyalists told us. I fear that if the £10 million charge was still in place then the Admin route would not work as it does for most football clubs and that is also something which needs to be addressed in good time. Swiss that is why I emphasised 'longer term prospect' and 'IF' I do appreciate that investors want to see quick returns and a sustainable cashflow something we are lacking at present with the losses. I see no problem in politely questioning his strategy and had the PC and SC adopted a more pragmatic approach that might have been achieved. Sadly no chance now. One of the elements that needs to be highlighted causing concern is the ongoing preservation of that charge.

So Jim and his SC does have some hardcore supporters although they will remain as a tiny minority imo. How anyone can have faith and trust in an organisation that didn't have financial safeguards and governance in place, which would have alerted them at an early stage to the embezzlement of funds, is beyond me. Shambolic amateurs. Having worked in banking for a number of years - many in branch banking - I'm aware that embezzlement of funds is unfortunately not uncommon for club, society & charity accounts. More often than not the fault lies with the financial institution (Bank / Building Society), by not carrying out sufficient checks - who the assigned signatories are - when money is withdrawn from an account, or transferred between accounts. The fact is that the perpetrator won't get away with it; they will eventually be found out. Rather than blame the other committee members when this situation arises, my thoughts are always how sad it is that someone has found themselves in the desperate financial situation where they've felt the need to take money from the club/society/charity.

Kind Regards John Malyckyj The PC, ‘Valentines Ball’ was the highlight of the year for many John, great fun with the usually 240+ in attendance.A cheque for around £8k profit was forwarded to the fc a few days later(I am sure you know this but I am curious to know if you attended any. But all that ended when the fc decided to take the event in house. It was decided to support this new arrangement but unfortunately I saw two fights that first night and will not expose my wife to that sort of behaviour, so that was the end of that Let’s hope any in house fund raising activities don’t end up the same way. You have not commented on PCs member ship quoted on here a day or so ago(I apologise if I have missed it) does it not suit your agenda?
