I had lost interest in this game before ko. No you didn't. If Rovers had have won you would have been running around in little circles with your willy out showing everybody the B***** tattoo you've had on the shrivelled little thingy. How do you know it's a little shriveled thingy?

Am not going to compare your behaviour to B***** but yours is not much better with posts like that, in my opinion. All about being a decent person. Of course you are spot on with you analysis. Gently playing with Bas, who gives as good as he gets, is akin to ramming a lit cigar into a person's eye, assaulting someone, continuing to attack them when they are on the floor them immediately attacking a teenager. Get a grip for goodness sake.

Joey bag talks about having to play players last night that have been told to leave during this transfer window.
The only players that had played last night but were signed prior to Joeybag is Kilgour, Baldwin, Liddle, Grant and Westbrook.
So who’s been told to go?

Is it just me that is fuming after watching the post Cheltenham interview? JB is talking like he has just arrived at the club and is trying to sort the "mess" out. He is complaining about the high turnover of players and the injuries. These are problems that HE chose to create. He chose to start again rather than build on the existing team. He slated the Ben Garner pre-season for creating unfit players, and look at where we are now. Having to play youngsters and players widly out of position just to field a team. Fuming I am. I don't like all this complaining and excuses from the manager. Yes, it is still early days and I will reserve judgement on JB until the end of October at the earliest. If we are to be promoted, we cannot afford to write off the months of August and September just because players are not fit. Don't watch the press conferences then. I stopped watching them last season under Garner and Tisdale as they were painful. Bartons are honest and a bit more entertaining, if depressing. Yep. That would probably be for the best.
I would be rubbish at post-match interviews, so it's easy to be critical from my keyboard.
I really want us to do well this season, I would so love another promotion party in May. That would be awesome.
I have this horrible feeling that things are not going to plan, and that JB knows this. All we can do is hope that he can create a winning team, as we certainly have not seen any evidence of that so far.

It’s early days, Joeybag will find a rhythm. I think he desperately wants as many players from last year gone. I bet any incoming players will be northern with a common surname from yesteryear - a smith, Dixon, Wilmot or Evans.
Joey bag likes graft, football from the streets, heart on his sleeve. McKeever, Low and Ramasur wouldn’t have lasted a second here.

Kilgour was very poor, albeit played out of position. Baldwin makes mistake after mistake. Westbrooke plays like an Academy player who has never grown into a man. Liddle - not enough strength and does nothing with the ball. Grant - some strength but does nothing with the ball. The whole team look mediocre though. Promotion - no chance

What's odd about their 'reserves' being better than smaller clubs first 11 or other clubs reserves? What's your point? Are you doubting clubs don't take this competition seriously? Rovers Cup record under DC eg.DC was happy to get these games done, dusted and lost. The Chelsea game came after I think we knew,if we won the game before,we had Chelsea away.I think, not 100% sure. No, I'm saying I don't understand why. For a club like Man City, a trophy in February is a confidence-booster in their run-in for bigger things and gives them momentum. Brian Clough understood the value of that too. He could think outside the box. For clubs like ours there's nothing like a wee cup run to get the place buzzing, and let's face it, we need that more than ever right now. We made the quarter final twice back in the day and the place was rocking. I don't buy into the dour, pragmatic approach towards cup tournaments. It's anti-football. We agree on our dislike of KO Cup competitions devaluation CPB.It's a shame.Filthy lucre and greed.

Haha!An unexpected response. TWD,I've been complaining about the devaluation of our KO Cup games for years now. Many years. Let's hope i have good reason to be dancing around Eastville with my willy out at 1700 this Saturday!

Anyone know the attendance last night or is that off limits now? Strangely no mention of the attendance in the match report on the Official website, nor the Rovers twitter account. And not quoted in the BBC report either (same for FGR). EDIT: Can't find anything on Sky Sports or Sporting Life websites either.

Match Report:
Rovers exit the Carabao Cup at the first-round stage, after a defeat at the hands of Cheltenham Town at the Mem.
Ellis Chapman came the closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half, as his long-range strike bounced back off the frame of the Rovers goal.
Alfie May grabbed the tie's first goal as the game approached the hour, finishing from close range after being found by Wright's delivery into the Rovers area.
Substitute Kyle Vassell added a second goal for Cheltenham inside the final twenty minutes of the tie - ensuring it was the Robins who progressed to the Second Round stage.
Ahead of the tie, Rovers made five changes to face the Robins.
Connor Taylor and James Belshaw both were named in the starting XI for their Gas debuts - with Alfie Kilgour, Jack Baldwin and Ben Liddle also listed as changes to the side that faced Mansfield on the opening day.
Early chances were at a premium, with only Callum Wright's speculative volley from outside the area the only opportunity of note inside the opening ten minutes.
Rovers enjoyed the majority share of possession, with the mainstay of the play focused in the middle of the pitch. A short corner routine involving Thomas and Westbrooke saw the latter drill a low cross into the congested area that narrowly ran out of the reach of Harvey Saunders at the near post.
On the half-hour mark, a long-range strike from Ellis Chapman kept low and skidded across the plush Mem surface, bouncing back off the inside the Rovers upright, in what a fortunate left off for the Gas.
As the first half progressed, Rovers had appeals for a penalty turned away when Saunders and Tozer collided inside the Cheltenham area. Shortly after, Anderson aimed a curling effort towards that target that came close to forcing Flinders into action.
With the deadlock in place at the interval, Rovers had a disallowed goal early on in the second half when Harry Anderson was judged to have been offside when latching onto a useful through ball and lifting a finish beyond Flinders.
The game's first goal came just on the turn of the hour. A searching ball over the top from Callum Wright found the run of Alfie May, who kept his balance to chip a composed finish over the onrushing Belshaw.
Cheltenham made a double change after going in front, introducing Kyle Vassell for his debut and also Liam Sercombe, who received a warm welcome on his return to BS7.
Rovers made a double change of their own - with a debut for the Academy's Jamarni Langlais and Sion Spence coming off the bench.
It was the Cheltenham substitute who had an instant impact, as Kyle Vassell was in the right position at the far-post to react to the ball pinballing around the Rovers penalty to convert home from close-range.
Rovers' third and final change saw Ryan Jones called into the fold, with the youngster also making his EFL debut.
Rovers host Stevenage at Mem in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.
Rovers: James Belshaw, Connor Taylor, Alfie Kilgour, Nick Anderton, Jack Baldwin, Luke Thomas (77' Ryan Jones), Zain Westbrooke (75' Sion Spence), Ben Liddle (75' Jamarni Langlais), Josh Grant, Harvey Saunders,
Subs: Jed Ward, Cian Harries, Luca Hoole, Joe Budd.
Cheltenham Town: Scott Finders, Ben Tozer (c), Alfie May (65' Kyle Vassell), Callum Wright, Sean Long, George Lloyd, Grant Horton, Taylor Perry (65' Liam Sercombe), Ellis Chapman (79' Chris Hussey), William Boyle, Lewis Freestone.
Subs: Owen Evans, Charlie Raglan, Elliot Bonds, Callum Ebanks.
