Because they have momentum and their squad is established with L1 players and we play in L2 having just been relegated, be realistic. OK, so we expect to lose against teams that are capable of competing at the top of L2. Fair enough. Not necessarily and we would all have liked better tonight but I think this game was an extra pre season friendly for us. I take the point

Not the right game for that battle. I am in your camp on this but this is not the right game. Glad they have got it done with no injuries and some minutes for some first teamers

Oh fek... giving up without a fight...again. Seems to be the story of BRFC for the last 2 or 3 seasons. I'm just tired and over it all. There seems no way out given we have an owner with severe limitations and a caustic manager. Not true that they gave up without a fight. They didn`t lack endeavour, just talent. After the second goal went in, I gave up hoping that we`d get something from the game, ( we clearly weren`t going to ) and just admired Cheltenham`s passing game. Second half, it was men against boys. One shot on target, and that was in the last minute. Drew ironic cheers from the crowd. A few boos at the end too. There`ll be a lot more, if we don`t do considerably better against Stevenage.

Absolutely toothless. It's impossible to see anything dramatic changing by Saturday. Incidentally, Stevenage are currently holding Championship side Luton. And the team we lost to last Saturday got thumped 3-0 at home to PNE. you have to be a bit careful. We don’t know what sort of sides been put out, you’d expect Preston second string to be too classy for Mansfield reserves. rovers quite lucky to be out this pointless distraction, and Exeter apart have unfancied sides in coming games to get it together and good league spot after 7 FGR for example stupid enough to keep themselves in the comp, and May never get ahead of us again once we pass them in three weeks time. The Bartonhating doomongers are out too soon, it only takes a one goal win Saturday to set us on our way, and prove so much punditry and bookies couldn’t get it so wrong.

Just got back..
Oh dear. Hey look on the bright side....we've found our most inept midfield pairing since Blizzard/Quin ? Liddle and Westbrook....omg! Ben 'give me the ball so I can pass it right back to you and not move' Liddle accompanied with Zain 'Ive made a new years resolution not to tackle, but I'll stare them out' Westbrook. This conspired to give Josh Grant a hard working eve.
We got what we deserved as quite frankly we were out played in every department with Cheltenham not even getting out of second gear.
Did we make one move? A pass of forward and movement more than 3 touches? Was our first shot on target (lampooned by the Thatcher's End) in injury time?
I know it was a second/third string team, but we were severely lacking tonight of creative, flowing movement and ideas. Credit to Cheltenham who fully took advantage and deserved the result by being professional throughout.
Nice Sercs welcome. B***** got it wrong again. The Thatcher's End won't always be so forgiving or magnanimous in it's concession.... it's a sense of humour that keeps us ticking sometimes.
I just wonder if we have much else at the moment?

Everything about the club is wrong at the moment..so many injuries, a squad made up of Joey's mates and Fleetwood reserves/mates and losing to Cheltenham town. Fans talking like losing to Mansfield town in the last minute is some sort of achievement.
And on top of this we have the failure to suspend B***** and switch the focus away from his off-field dramas. But the rot stems back to Clarke's departure. This signalled where the club was going. Coughlan was a freak upturn in a general downward trajectory.
Wael, you had such a good opportunity to take this club forward. You had all that good will and positivity. And you've turned it into....this. Its just horrible.

Seven consecutive defeats
Not scored at home for 394 mins McCormick remember him his second goal against Donny.
May a constant threat for Cheltenham who also hot post in first half.
Sercombe and Vassell looked lively when they come on Cheltenham full value for their 2 nil win.
Heard supporters club not allowed to sale programmes anymore! Also if you wanted to buy one had to be by contactless card payment. Food and drink by card.. We have become a cashless stadium.
Strange atmosphere in stadium and when Cheltenham sang I wanna go home from this s**thole that was final straw.
Not too worried as I am sure Joey is on the case for Saturday!

Westbrook will be eaten alive in League 2. There`s not an ounce of physicality about him. Thought Anderson was one bright spark amid the mediocrity tonight. Played left wing first half, and right wing second. Pace, decent first touch, good in the air. Looking forward to seeing if he can do it in the league.

That's the SC's own fault for acting like idiots. But no cash sales, if that's true Gorringe needs to go, he's a complete clown, that much we already know but no cash sales would signal him being totally out of control. I visit PL grounds and you don't even get that at the top end of the game.

Yes, I agree that it was terrible. Pathetic in fact. Cheltenham totally outplayed us for 90 minutes. B***** gone by mid-October. No pattern of play and we will be in bottom six after 10 games.

Not a game any of us expected to win surely and a good time for players to get minutes ahead of the proper game on Saturday. Of course nobody would expect Bristol Rovers to beat Cheltenham Town.

Naaaaaaaa you are having a laugh. Everyone pays with phone wallet now don’t They, except a few oldies who use a card, because adding it to phone for extra security is too complicated for them. Without googling it I am sure you are wrong, and the old paper bits and metal things are not legal tender anymore. I can’t remember the last time I saw any. can you still talk us through the old cash thing and tell all the funny shapes names and designs apart and how much each were worth? why was a little silly shaped one worth more than a bigger round one? How on earth were they worth anything if they are really just funny little bits of paper and metal? another world ago isn’t it?

And you are complaining this method of payment is being phased out too quickly for your liking? 🤣

This management lark is not rocket science.
Cheltenham progress in the cup lotto, maybe they’ll earn a big draw and a decent payday earning a cash injection.that funds a stockley-type loan signing during the winter transfer window.
B***** still has time. Were today’s players inept, demotivated, lacking direction or outclassed but worth persisting?

There was a cash only line at the Match Day ticket office.
My gripe. There were only 2 turnstiles open for the East Terrace at 7.15. There were no Covid checks, as there were not enough turnstile operators to check. So all that policy guff when out of the window.
The screen was not working.
For first game back, it was a shambles off the pitch. More of a shambles on it, though.

On a slightly different note, I see that Rangers got humiliated in front of a full stadium this evening, I wonder how many people will become seriously ill as a result of that and if anybody will die?
