Rovers Score from open play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Free Beer tonight Mr Pitman at the Swan ,Sidmouth. He’d prefer The Riviera or the Blue Ball! Well done Brett, a goal from the box and a worldly from 40 yards. I told them you’d score given the service. UTG!

Did anyone else think - this is surreal, like Bobby Gould scoring a hat-trick on his debut for Rovers at home to Blackburn in 1977?
Fantastic work from Ryan Jones, winning three tackles in quick succession to make the assist for the goal.

Rovers Score from open play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Free Beer tonight Mr Pitman at the Swan ,Sidmouth. Connor Taylor on loan from Stoke injured?? From the size of his gut I think it would be best if he stayed away from pubs and especially free beer!

Ops from i-Follow ... - Thought the commentator was good (I'm assuming he was from Oxford?). He was clued up on Rovers and knew about the players.
- Not only did we have the rusty gantry in shot at times, we also saw hands, pens and programmes on show, in each bottom corner of screen.
- First half trying to play the ball out of defence looked very dodgy - hope we're not like that in the league. On one of those occasions our defenders turned to argue with each other, while Oxford took an attacking throw-in - hope we're not like that in the league.
- At 2-1 we took what seemed to be 5 minutes to take a corner. Paul Coutts slow-walked over to take it, like a player being substituted in the final minute of a game. Very strange.
- Luke Thomas - Very impressive performance: skillful, industrious, an attacking threat and also worked hard to track back and defend. Thomas on one wing and Nicolson on the other could be a wonder.
- Luca Hoole - Only just turned 19. I'd heard his name, coming through the Academy and Development Squad, but that's the first time I've seen him play and have to say he looks a great prospect. Very calm and confident, and came across as someone with far more professional experience than his years.
- Ryan Jones - Not sure if he's 19 yet. Only played 20 minutes, but made a good impression. I thought he was a left-back, but actually played wide right of midfield. Good pressing and skill and brought about the winner.
- Brett Pitman - I kept reading on social media: "He knows where the back of net is." When he missed a seemingly simple chance soon after coming early on, I was thinking: "Ok, he might know where the back of the net is, but does he still know how to find it?" Well, he soon answered that!
