Difficult opener of course, but one to be enjoyed. We have to wait and see how this JB squad goes over these first 5 to 10 games. My opinion is it may take a few games to get going, but once that's achieved we'll challenge. Bearing that in mind I won't be surprised if we get beaten by the Stags.Nigel Clough is an experienced and wise Manager .He has good blood of course. I'll be happy with a point,3 would be lovely. The Gas Army of over 1000 can play more than a cameo role. Come on Rovers! are they allowed that many to travel regarding ground size and ratio to numbers inside?

Letting Ollie Clarke go was another brilliant idea wasn't it. The midfield certainly improved without him, not to mention him chipping in with a few goals every season. A walking booking but he would have kept us up in my opinion.

Apparently yes LIS,going by the ticket sales.

He would have worked well with a McCormick type player providing the bite which didn't come from Mssrs Upson or Grant.

McCormick went to Wimbledon on a free, after Joey ignored calls from his agent to sign him. Never mind, in 9 months McCormick is league 2 player whilst Gas L1. UTG.

One of the few players last season who really tried hard, He must wonder why we passed him by, I think he will be a bright player for Wimbledon’t. Time will tell.

I’m shocked he didn’t go to higher league and for a price, when you consider how much his game brings any side at his age. Not a single B***** fan boy can defend McCormick going on free and not to us. It’s a failure he wasn’t attracted here at that cost to us. This seasons midfield starts without his energy and eye for goal, has to replace that just to stand still.

Tough fixture at any time, but the re baptism of this league makes or more difficult i m o...
Mansfield have made some shrewd signings in close season, especially that Hartlepool striker so they have goals in them.... and expectations are riding high with confidence.
We are untried untested outfit.... pressure on both sides....if we get it right, we can cause some damage in this division.
I'll plump for an opening away day win (was it last v Mansfield?) 1-2 away win to the Gas. See you up there...

So many debutants.Went on the club's main website to look at the squad pics but it is very out of date with very few photos and players like Ayunga still listed.Anyway feel sure our striker's drought should end so despite last season ,our appalling stadium and Joey's imbroglios, feeling very positive about the new season. Don't expect players like ;Barrett,Baldwin or Liddel to feature and do hope Rodman spends less time on the sidelines.Intriguing season ahead and will be great to have the crowds back.Come on Rovers.
