is Joey the sort of character to jump before pushed? New club rather than sack on CV? How is he finding the commute and away from family, which Cocko clearly struggled with? I thought Our Joey did all the pushing. Let's hope we honour our commitment to Havant & Waterlooville. We are...

You may well be right KP, just met some lovely Polish lads & lasses on holiday in Cornwall... Had to laugh though as they offered my 80 year old mum some "weed" as we were now all friends. Just shows what ever age you are, there can always be a first.... Made mum smile. The offer not the weed, I hasten to add. Their cuisine, not too shabby either. The dumplings I had in Krakow.. spot on. As was the dark ale that accompanied them. Agree, good homely cooking...

What is the end-game for Joey?
He either does well and leaves for a bigger project or he becomes the new Martin Allen where character alone doesn’t equip him to be a successful manager.
Or the club goes pop.

Or the club goes pop. So he either succeeds and moves on to bigger and better things, or he doesn`t succeed at all. You could say that about any manager, who came here.

Or the club goes pop. It’s that option number 3 that is worrying me, more and more. The city lads I frequent with keep telling me he will do well for us and I now don’t even know if they are taking the p155

But the great reset is more than a managerial gig. It’s a club blueprint. So what happens if joeybag loses it by mid season or goes off to Preston after one season? Will Wael insist the next manager sticks to the plan?

Will Wael insist the next manager sticks to the plan? 12 months ago we were in the midst of another great reset. That reset was ditched based on the post Cocko form before curtailment, Ben ditched by a mid table club full of young players the plan was to develop and sell on for sustainability. I would say the Barton reset isn’t a master plan to be honest. It’s a get out of basement as quick as possible plan, before a proper plan of sustainability and building to step to Championship actually kicks in. I’ll repeat the point of this thread again. Cocko, Ben, Tis didn’t get that, much time and support ultimately, what makes Joey fans convinced Barton will tough it out if support from board cools? If he can’t get in what he needs, quite a few of the players coming in are quite young and not proven, is he the character to tough it out or walk before pushed?

Fully agree with the 1st two paragraphs. League 2 was never on the agenda, so JB has one goal. Get to league 1 ASAP. As for long term strategy, who knows, Weal needs to communicate on that, and if JB delivers on above, I don't think he will be around for long, unless JB buys into that strategy, which probably means stadium etc, as without that we are a League 1, League 2 yo yo club.
