Jeremy Clarkson says exasperated Kaleb Cooper left farm after hearing 'stupidest idea yet'..Jeremy Clarkson, 62, has revealed his newest plans for Diddly Squat farm that made his land agent "roll his eyes" and Clarkson's Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper, 24, leave the county. The former Top Gear presenter's latest project comes after reports that Diddly Squat Farm shop has temporarily closed for this month. In his latest column, Jeremy explained that he had now become a pig farmer - despite plenty of opposition to the idea from those with more experience. "Cheerful Charlie Ireland, my land agent, says this is the stupidest idea I've had yet and wants no part of it," Jeremy admitted. He went on to reveal that an exasperated Kaleb had also decided to leave Chipping Norton after hearing the news. "Kaleb was so unpleased that he got into his pick-up truck and went to Cornwall for a week," Jeremy continued. Jeremy explained why he felt his "logic was sound" as he laid out his plan for the pigs in his latest article for The Times. The star suggested that pigs are "much cheaper" to buy than other livestock, including cows or sheep. He also argued that the large broods the pigs would produce would be more financially beneficial. Describing how pigs "hosed out" piglets like "machinegun bullets", he wrote: "You buy ten pigs for a few quid and three months later you have ten million. That's profit, right there. Pure, naked profit." Jeremy added that he would also be saving money by feeding his unharvestable potatoes to the pigs rather than letting them rot. However, he confessed that his land agent wasn't impressed even after he explained his plans in full. "Charlie responded to this argument by rolling his eyes and going home," he wrote, "Which meant that Lisa and I had to spend a week or two learning an all-new language: pig." Prime Video has revealed that Clarkson's Farm will return on February 10, 2023. On the farm shop's official Instagram account, it announced that Diddly Squat is set to temporarily close until February 10. The news of his latest closure comes shortly after Jeremy was forced to issue an apology over comments he made about Meghan Markle in a recent column. In his latest article for the Sun he wrote: "Meghan, though, is a different story. I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a cellular level. "At night, I'm unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, 'Shame!' and throw lumps of excrement at her. "Everyone who's my age thinks the same way," he added in his column, which has since been removed from the publication's website. The article became the Independent Press Standards Organisation's most complained about article, with more than 17,500 people contacting them over the piece. The Sun had issued an apology for publishing the column, while Jeremy took to Twitter saying he was "horrified to have caused so much hurt" and said he would be "more careful in future". Prince Harry and Meghan have since reacted to The Sun's apology over Jeremy's controversial column saying it was "nothing more than a fool stunt". img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AA15TjMm.img?w=475&h=712&m=6&x=309&y=149&s=39&d=39img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AA15TCoU.img?w=565&h=712&m=6&x=77&y=171&s=390&d=348

Amazon 'axe' Clarkson's Farm and The Grand Tour as they cut ties with Jeremy Clarkson..
Jeremy Clarkson told readers he "hated" the Duchess of Sussex on a "cellular level" in a column for The Sun. Following the backlash, Amazon Prime Video has reportedly terminated their relationship with the former Top Gear host and axed both Clarkson's Farm and The Grand Tour, according to Variety.
It's been reported Jeremy will not be working with Amazon beyond the seasons of both his shows that have already been commissioned.
This means he won't appear in any new shows after 2024.
Upcoming seasons of The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm are reportedly not affected.
Season two of Clarkson's has been confirmed for release on February, 10.
Amazon Prime Video declined to comment on the reports.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Jeremy apologised for the controversial column.
"I am going to try and buck the trend this morning with an apology for the things I said in a Sun column recently about Meghan Markle.
"I am really sorry. All the way from the balls of my feet up to the follicles on my head. This is me putting my hands up. It's a mea culpa with bells on it.
"Usually, I read what I've written before it is filed but I was home alone on that fateful day and in a hurry." "So when I finished I pressed send," he continued. "And then when the column appeared the next day, the land mine exploded.
"It was a slow rumble to start with and I ignored it. But then the rumble got louder.
"So I picked up a copy of The Sun to see what all the fuss was about. We've all been there I guess.

Clarkson’s Farm's Kaleb Cooper's plan to get super rich as show hangs in jeopardy..
Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper isn't letting the grass grow under him as he plans to rake in the cash amid the show's uncertain future.
It has been reported Amazon Prime has parted ways with Jeremy Clarkson following his vile rant about Meghan Markle.
However, Kaleb, 24, who has been a key figure in helping the outspoken host on his farming show, is now said to have trademarked his name in a bid to boost his bank balance.
The father-of-one wants to market merchandise and his services with a new logo submitted last month featuring his initials KC.
A friend of Kaleb’s said “He has used his name for his business interests since he started working at 13.
“Most people know Kaleb as being part of Clarkson’s Farm but it’s a lesser known fact that Kaleb is a successful farm contractor.
“As part of his business he needs to have a logo and domain name and so he has registered Kaleb Cooper
Kaleb, whose fiancée Tanya is expecting the couple's second child, formed Kaleb Cooper Contracting, offering “agricultural contracting solutions in Oxfordshire”, long before he appeared on TV.
Jeremy revealed last year his wily co-star had struck a deal to buy cut-price human waste from Severn Trent to use as fertiliser.
However, he later quipped: “That raises an interesting point.
“Would you buy food if you knew it had been grown using human excrement?”
The news comes as Jeremy claimed he emailed Meghan and Prince Harry on Christmas Day to apologise, after his hate-filled rant about the Duchess of Sussex last month.
The presenter said his bosses at ITV 's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Amazon, who make Clarkson's Farm and the Grand Tour, were "incandescent" after his decision to share his disturbing thoughts with the public last month.
In a lengthy statement shared on his Instagram page, Jeremy said he "really is sorry" for what he said in the controversial column – all the way "from the balls of my feet to the follicles on my head".
However, following Jeremy's apology, the Sussexes responded with their own statement.
Their representative said: “While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr. Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories, and misogyny.
“Unless each of his other pieces were also written ‘in a hurry,’ as he states, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste, but rather a series of articles shared in hate.”

Clarkson Farm's Kaleb Cooper agrees to appear on I'm A Celebrity on one condition (is anyone watching series 2, i am it is very good)Kaleb Cooper from Clarkson's Farm has stated that he would be willing to appear on I'm a Celebrity, but only if a certain condition was met. Jeremy Clarkson's farming show has returned for a second season, along with fan favourites who quickly became unlikely stars. Among them is Kaleb, a 24-year-old farm worker who comes to the ex-Top Gear host's rescue numerous times throughout the show and is noted for having hardly left his hometown when the cameras first began rolling. Although Kaleb returns in the second season, fans are already hungry for more, with some even asking for a spin-off. But it seems Kaleb could soon be starring on another hit show, reports Birmingham Live. During a scene in the new series of Clarkson's Farm, Kaleb told Jeremy: "I don't do Love Island. The other half doesn't like it." "What is it then?" Jeremy asked. "I'm a Celeb," Kaleb replied. "I'd love to see you in Australia," said Jeremy. Kaleb then responded: "That's probably the worst thing actually. That is probably what I'd be most scared about - actually leaving. If they come here, I'd do it." Clarkson's Farm gained both Jeremy and Kaleb recognition at the British Farming Awards as they showed the hardships of maintaining a 1,000-acre farm. The second season premiered earlier this month with glowing reviews from both fans and critics. It depicts another year on Diddly Squat Farm, as Jeremy hopes to diversify and develop into new areas. The series also includes the introduction of additional animals and crops to the farm, as well as Jeremy's interactions with the local council as he attempts to expand his operation with a restaurant. img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AA17EtMS.img?w=768&h=511&m=6&x=357&y=91&s=55&d=55

Jeremy Clarkson's farm branded 'a menace and a success'..upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a0/Clarkson%27s_Farm_Title_Card.jpg/250px-Clarkson%27s_Farm_Title_Card.jpgJeremy Clarkson's farm shop has been described as both a "menace" and "a success for local people" during a planning meeting. Villagers clashed at the meeting about the impact of the business on the Oxfordshire countryside. The hearing relates to Mr Clarkson's appeal against the refusal by the council to grant planning permission for an extension to the car park at his shop. The meeting continues on Wednesday. Mr Clarkson, 62, is also challenging West Oxfordshire District Council's (WODC) move to shut down his restaurant on the same plot of land because he allegedly did not have planning permission when he opened it in July last year. The former Top Gear presenter's attempts at running his farm are the subject of a documentary series on Amazon Prime Video. At the meeting on Tuesday, villager Hilary Moore said the tourists who visited the farm - which sits between Chadlington and Chipping Norton - came to "show off their cars" and block roads, while Joanna Cecil, a florist at the farm, came to its defence. Chadlington resident Ms Moore said: "I don't think the people who come are particularly respectful. "They come in their cars with their souped-up engines - they are motorheads, they are not here to support our little farm shop. "We have been disrupted by them in the two-and-a-half years since it's been open. It's ruining our area. "There are farm shops all over the country that they could support instead of all converging here at the weekends. "It's a total menace. It's a danger." Ms Cecil told the meeting she had been working as a florist at the farm "since the very beginning", and it attracted visitors who wanted to support local farming. "People go to the shop because it sells local," she said. "This is what Jeremy loves: he invests in the farm, he invests in local people. "He is making a success of it for local people, for our children, and for our future." WODC took action against Clarkson in August saying in its enforcement notice that the "nature, scale and siting" of the restaurant on his farm was "incompatible with its open countryside location" in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It then ordered closure of the restaurant or anything selling food that will be consumed on the farm, along with removal of the dining tables, chairs, parasols, picnic tables, and mobile toilets. It also previously denied permission for an expanded car park at the site, despite the council's own tourism manager saying it would help improve safety and prevent problems. Agents working on behalf of Clarkson say they are not in breach of planning laws, claiming that the council's decision is "excessive". The John Phillips Planning Consultancy (JPPC) wrote in its appeal against the enforcement notice that existing planning permission gives the right to use the farm as a restaurant, and there has been no "material change" to the land. WODC's lawyers argued that the "level of use of the site" has "significantly increased" due to the restaurant, and the land was "now used for a mix of purposes which go well beyond that of a farm shop". The council has said that due to these reasons, the current planning permission "could never apply" to the new enterprises on the site. A final decision on the plans will be published in the coming weeks. Discussions about Clarkson's farm have been heated, and WODC said it had put extra security measures in place for Tuesday's hearing as a result of death threats sent to a councillor and member of the public who had opposed the plans.

I think it's a great programme. Alright, it is obviously slanted to fit the views of Clarkson but it is funny, interesting and details a lot of problems that Farmers face on a daily basis. As the programme stated, the restaurant would provide jobs for 50 local people. The produce eaten is from local farms. Is it such a problem to say you can only go to the restaurant if you have a reservation? The shop is a different issue.

Generous Clarkson's Farm fans raise nearly £40,000 for Cotswold farmer featured in season two..
Clarkson’s Farm fans have raised nearly £40,000 to help a Cotswold dairy farmer who appeared in the second series of the hit programme. Emma Ledbury has said she is ‘overwhelmed’ by the support shown after thousands donated to an appeal to help her keep her farm afloat.
In an episode focussing on TB in cattle, Emma told Jeremy Clarkson that how her herd had been decimated by the disease that is rife in the West Country. Rebecca Poole was so moved by her plight after watching the Prime Video series that she set up a GoFundMe page aiming towards a £40,000 target.
In a new video statement Rebecca tells fans that the appeal now stands just a few hundred pounds short of that sum but she would like them to keep on giving. Emma will take some of her money to badger-proof her sheds but has asked for the rest to be donated to a charity that offers farmers emotional support in times of need.
Rebecca, 45, who lives in Solihull, West Midlands, says Emma is "overwhelmed" that fans of the TV show had raised £39,530 towards the £40,000 appeal. Donations have come in from across the world and the women were both astounded when it hit £25.000. But it has continued to grow.
“Emma and I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support shown and Emma will be investing some of the funds into badger-proofing one of the sheds to prevent nose-to-nose contact between badgers and the dairy herd," Rebecca says in an update.

Jeremy Clarkson hit by ‘gut-wrenching' loss on farm as 'it's finally time to say goodbye'..i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk/incoming/article29505887.ece/ALTERNATES/n310p/0_Clarksons-Farm-Photocall.jpgClarkson's Farm viewers will be aware of how conflicted Jeremy, 62, often feels over his role as a farmer and the owner of Diddly Squat Farm. The former Top Gear presenter previously struggled to send his sheep to the abattoir for the first time in an episode of the Amazon Prime Video show. Fans saw Jeremy Clarkson shedding a tear over saying goodbye to his flock, but the star has now revealed that he found the departure of seven of his male pigs even more "gut-wrenching". Sharing his heartbreaking loss that took place last week on his farm in the Cotswolds, Jeremy admitted in his latest column for The Sunday Times: "I can never sleep properly the night before they go, and all the way to the slaughterhouse I have what feels like a hot cricket ball in the pit of my stomach. "And then when it's finally time to say goodbye, I always become a little bit unmanly." He added: "I know that I'm trying to be a farmer and that this is what farmers do. "And I know I will enjoy the bacon and ham and pork chops that result. "But it's not easy, taking seven happy, healthy pigs from their woodland home to their deaths. "Especially as pig prices are currently so low I'll almost certainly end up making a loss on the transaction." Sadly for Jeremy, his troubles weren't over, as after looking forward to his remaining pigs welcoming new piglets into the world, "the report was gloomy". After his girlfriend Lisa Hogan checked to see why one of their pregnant pigs had only given birth to one piglet, Jeremy had to call the 24-hour emergency vet's helpline to get some advice. Jeremy was surprised that the problem could be resolved by taking the mother pig for a walk, which prompted the arrival of 10 piglets the next morning. The mother pig was later nicknamed Clumsy by Jeremy and Lisa, after she tragically sat on two of her 10 piglets, leading to their deaths. "This is extremely irritating, and sad too. And expensive," Jeremy told the publication of the unfortunate accident. He added, sadly: "All I know is that so far 28 pigs have been born and eight have been killed. "That's more than a quarter and that's one hell of a rate of attrition." Jeremy previously celebrated the arrival of the farm's first piglet back in January. The star posed for an Instagram photo with the adorable baby animal alongside the caption: "An piglet. Our first."

I thought farmers would hate celebrity farming but it's actually highlighted how difficult the life is and loss making in most sides of the business these days. That is apart from people like Dyson who have large scale farms getting massive subsidies from HMG. Most of our local small farms, even the most efficient, lose money or break even unless they have successful side lines.
