for possibly the 6th year on the trot i cannot be arsed to do so, Mainly because of the "elite" and their attitude towards it, until they think they are in with a chance to win it

I have always watched the FA Cup Final and always will, whoever is playing i will watch it, i usually go for an underdog as in Leicester (who are above Chelsea in the league).
Being a West Ham fan when i first followed them as a 10yr old winning the 1975 Cup Final v Fulham, before i was a BRFC fan, my football life has had many up's & down's.
Life would be very boring winning masses of trophies being a Man.Utd, Liverpool, Man.City et al fan, surely yes ?

I didn't know who was in it this year, and didn't even know it was on Saturday until the morning of the game, such is my detachment from football this season.
Anyway, I watched it because it was raining and I couldn't get out on my bike. I always support the under-dog. Rovers supporter - THAT is part of our DNA.
Dire 1st half. But great to hear the jeers of the fans when Werner lamped one 20 yards over the bar. Fantastic strike. Great to see Lineker (who I can't stand) giving a genuine fans reaction to the goal. Fantastic that the chelski goal ruled out by VAR in the final minutes.
Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

Having three small children and fixed routines I find the 17:15 kick off time doesn't work for me at all. I'd watch it otherwise.

I watched it and really enjoyed it. I get all the stuff about the PL and their greed but why should I let them take away my enjoyment of the FA Cup? I hate the timing of it and would prefer 3.00 obviously but I’m afraid that bus over kick offs left many years ago.
I like all the early rounds and can still get excited about it. I know I’m in a minority but so what Can’t remember many of the recent finals but remember nearly all of those from the 70s onwards and this year’s was decent. It’s hard to distinguish one final with all the usual suspects in it from another so I was glad that Leicester won which should give hope to everyone imo. As you said epping it was good to see Lineker’s fan reaction, it still means something after all!
