I believe our academy is a category 3 one. City’s is category 2. The rating depends on facilities and the number of coaching staff etc. I really need to shake of the cobwebs from this pandemic as I thought we had not yet attained academy status. Thank you for putting me right This is one of the reasons I like your forum persona KP, never an issue with being corrected, and always thank the other person for additional information. Top bloke.

Good.
At last some evidence to demonstrate how Wael is going to cover the losses he's running up.
Can we get a list of what his additional income streams are please and what their performances have been in recent years?
Many thanks. Thats your job, as you and Swiss are suggesting that WAQ has insufficient funds to fund the club. So, to back up those claims, provide the evidence. You have made a start with AJIB performance last year. So list the performance of the others and people can judge. As a reminder, its the other returns on shareholdings for WAQ as an individual, plus the shareholdings for the estate. And then the performance of his various personal savings and investments of him (and the estate) over the years. You must have this, as otherwise surely you wouldn't make the claim in the first place, as if you did that it would be baseless and you would look foolish. As Swiss would say 'I hate to see WAQ humiliated like this'. We wouldn't want to see that here either through anyone making baseless claims that could not be evidenced. So the evidence must be out there. I'm sure you will be happy to help Swiss find all the info needed to back up the "claims", and then that "speculation" about WAQ's ability to fund the club can be put to bed once and for all. Nope. All I've done is ask the question. It's you who is happy with the situation, so the burden of proof sits squarely with you.

I was expecting a lot more, simply because its a recurring theme from you No burden of proof needed from me, I'm not the one saying WAQ cant afford to fund us. Sounds like you will be relying on Swiss then and will then simply piggy back on whatever he 'speculates', and you may be a tad lost otherwise. I'm sure Swiss will come up with something though. But you really need to start providing evidence before making claims or 'speculating' on stuff like this. You quoted AJIB figures only a few hours ago, so why leave it there?

Swiss has demonstrated what the income is for the 26% shareholding in AJIB. You've suggested that there are additional income streams, as you hate speculation I'm sure you'll want to demonstrate what they are and put some numbers to them, or just admit that you are guessing and have no idea if any such income exists but you hope it does as it would support your faith in Wael. If you can demonstrate that Wael is in a position to write off £3m plus PA for the foreseeable future I would become a lot more relaxed about things.

Not sure it's just the OP having faith in Wael, surely the fact he's written off the club debts, spent a tidy sum on the Quarters plus funded the club this season at a cost of £3m without, it appears, seeking any EFL loans, suggests he's not about to run out of money any time, some regardless of whatever sources he's recieving the money.

Bonkers.
Engage in wild speculaltion/claims/ whatever you want to call it
Offer no evidence to back it up
Ask others to prove you wrong.
Bonkers, will leave it there

You have the information about AJIB. That's from their own accounts. I'm saying that I'm not aware of any additional income that Wael has. So let's keep this simple for you. Are you aware of Wael having any additional income streams above and beyond those that he may have via the shareholding that the family hold in AJIB? It's not a difficult question. It's either no, in which case we move on, or it's yes, in which case can you please tell us what they are?

You didn’t look closely enough at the AJIB annual report then. On page 203 you would have found : Profit for the year 2020. JD. 11,536 703 Profit for the year 2019. JD. 16,203 239 Wael should have told you that the increase in profits relates to the first quarter of 2021 but I make it 14% not 18%. When Dwane Sports took over in 2016 the AJIB was making profits of JD 22 million and its share price was near JD 2.00. Now the profits have halved and the share price dropped to JD 1.13. The entire Al-Qadi family holding is about 26% so their income from this source is about JD 3 million which is much less than Rovers lose every year. What is the point of misrepresenting the situation ? Do you think it helps Wael or Rovers to do so ?
You seem to have gone a bit quiet on this Swiss?
For this to be in any way meaningful rather than just use AJIB shareholding you need to include all the other sources of income for WAQ, such as
-The various other shareholdings he has and their financial performance
-The shareholdings for his share of the estate of his father similarly
-Details of his savings/investments over the years and their performance
-Details of his share of savings/investments for the estate of his father
I think you will find WAQ has substantial interests in the toursim industry and others that may or may not be in the public domain.
Without the above, your figures mean nothing.
I recall you saying in reference to WAQ "If a job is worth doing, its worth doing well", so I'm surprised you have provided such limited information here. You are also fond of saying that WAQ needs to be challenged so that he doesnt repeadedly make mistakes, so this also gives you the opportunuity to pull together a full picture rather than make the mistake of drawing conclusions based on such limited information.
Frankly I'm a tad uncomfortable referencing some of these matters on a public forum as they should be personal to WAQ and his family but if you start going down the road you have you need to see it through, as otherwise some people might think you had 'an agenda'
Until you can provide this full info we can file under Fiction/Speculation or plain old sh*t stirring.
Good luck in your quest for the comprehensive financial information that will make it meaningful.
Some people will have been taken in by your limited analysis
Luckily not everyone
Ironic that Wael should instruct you to post this on a May day holiday because it sounds to me like a distress call. But at least you have dropped your disguise, shown that you are indeed the owner’s mouthpiece and confirmed that Wael is obsessed with social media and reads every post on the forums. What a pity he has devoted his energy to briefing you like this at a time when we have just been relegated, the manager is causing mayhem, players and staff are about to be coming in or going out and the accounts are due next month. Is this really the moment to be engaging with a few dozen fans on an obscure internet forum ? Trying to score points off me by showing that (amazingly !) I don’t know the details of Wael’s private investments doesn’t serve much purpose does it ? I‘ve always said that on the basis of the returns on his investments in AJIB and METICO he cannot fund Rovers losses indefinitely. Of course I don’t know what his other investments are and, understandably, he is not going to reveal this nor should he have to. But what you have written sounds very much like a Harry Enfield sketch spoken in a Brummie accent “I am considerably richer than yow think”. When Wael said we are facing a grave financial crisis and that he will do his best to fund the club through the pandemic and beyond it made perfect sense to me. So why you/he should now decide to take that extra step and imply his personal wealth is so great that he can fund Rovers losses indefinitely is unfathomable. If there really was no doubt about the ability to fund the losses indefinitely then I think you/he would have left it alone and not posted anything. Or, if these matters are taken so personally that you/he felt you had to post something, it would have been done in a calm and assured manner. But your/his anger is palpable which tells it’s own story. My advice is to forget about swissgas and gas guzzler and concentrate on finding a sensible means of keeping Rovers afloat.

Sat behind all of the claims made above, apparently made in an attempt to convince that there's significant wealth and income is a small fly in the ointment, namely 2 failed stadium projects and The Mem looking like a 1970s Butlin's camp. It's difficult to understand how / why anybody with the means at their disposal to deal with the stadium issue, as Lansdown did, would allow this?

That is why I said in the short term he should concentrate of finding a sensible means of keeping Rovers afloat because if there is no short term there can be no long term. It isn't sensible to put the harmony of your family at risk in a venture like this and nor would it be sensible to take funding from the unsavory characters who may be hovering. Contradiction's post tends to confirm that much of the wealth is tied up in trust which would explain why no capital sum is available to kick start a new stadium or to develop the training ground in a normal way but there is income to pay the day to day running costs for now. If/when B***** starts signing those better players on higher wages, the income goes lower and the running costs go higher, we are being told to have faith that Wael's personal income will stretch even further.

This is brilliant. After the constant and repetitive "speculation" about the owner that goes on and on and on, when finally challenged the response is basically "you must have been told this by Wael". Once again, treating Rovers fans as idiots. Why cant I merely be a supporter (since 1971 in the South Stand at Eastville) who now sits in the East Stand at the Mem who wants to challenge and stand up to the the constant innuendo, digs, disrespect and continued negativity that you Swiss and others constantly direct at the owner who is funding us?? WAQ's shareholding at AJIB, his shareholding at the Med Tourism Investment Co, the Four Seasons hotel etc - you don't need to have a hotline to QAQ to find this, surprisingly enough. Just do a bit of searching on Google. METICO is just under 7% i think, plus the estate And I agree Swiss, of course you don't know his savings, investments, his inheritance etc and we shouldn't know either. But we do know his family are bankers and potentially it is vast. Yet you will continually go on and on making these "claims" about WAQ's ability to fund us even though you have absolutely no evidence, and the usual subjects gleefully latch on to it time and time again, as has been proved today. The pot is stirred and they cant wait to jump on. When you strip back all your "speculation" and the "Wael should do this, Wael should do that, I have all the answers" blah blah blah rhetoric you basically now admit that you don't actually know anything of the financial affairs of the owners. But its takes a fair bit of challenge to get there. Its sh*t stirring based on no evidence. is it caused by bitterness somewhere down the line? I hope not, that would be a shame. But some people really don't like it when challenged, do they. UTG

UTG As I said, a calm and assured response might provide a glimmer of hope.

But some people really don't like it when challenged, do they. UTG Wael's total investment value in the Four Seasons, which, unless I'm reading something incorrectly, appears to be 8.735, which has a value of 3,926,700 JD, in broad terms, about £4m. If he sells that it'll cover 1 year's losses. Four Seasons and MTIC appear to be one and the same investment. Am I misunderstanding something, if so please correct me. Thanks.

Swiss,
You have always picked apart the ownership particularly surrounding their net worth, income, shareholding’s, financial performances of companies they own/have a shareholding in, financial performances of the club, structure of the accounts, speculated and simulated various scenarios and prophecies of doom and gloom with the sole intention of trying to ring lead a small group of supporters to believe that Wael does not have the best interests of Rovers at heart.
In the last 2 years prophecies from you have amounted to Wael wanting to sell the stadium to cover the losses, administration, liquidation and now this.
Your credibility on gaschat is bankrupt after you repeatedly banged a drum about our intending financial collapse only for Wael to write off the debt the following week! It made you, Knowall and all the other prophets of doom look like right mugs, and yet it doesn’t seem to have put you off!!
This forum suits your agenda perfectly and your constant attempts at besmirching the ownership seems to have some hooked but as contradiction is absolutely right in saying, until you can fully publish WAQs full net worth in cash, shares, assets and any other form of net value, your prophecy of doom is totally without foundation and is nothing more than speculation.
Wael’s actions in the last 18 months speak far louder than any of your words, which have amounted to nothing.

Wael’s actions in the last 18 months speak far louder than any of your words, which have amounted to nothing. They have amounted to epic failure , relegation and lord knows how much this re-set will cost but no need to worry or question as we will go straight back up. On a personal note, I have never seen swissgas wish for or ask for failure but has provided an alternative , to the crazy training ground rebuild. I honestly don’t understand how anyone, who has a passion for the club and securing it future, would not feel worry , when we have seen so much fail and then a rebuild. The supporters will be here, whoever owns it but you must be at least concerned, no ?
