I have as it happens, I bought my Brother a replica of the Star Trek 3D Chess board{s} for Christmas one year and spent many an hour doing battle with him on a cold Canadian winters afternoon whilst sporting stick on ears ! Arrgghh, a Trekkie.... Run, save yourselves, don't worry about Women and children, just save yourselves. And spacemen To quote python

Well, there's nothing official, but it's unlikely to be very long before he is granted indefinite leave to remain. He is named in the 15.

It's difficult to tell how long GVB's British Citizenship process will take, especially in the current circumstances - could be a while yet.
I think he is only named in the 15 man squad in case of injury to the 2 overseas players. He could of course be selected ahead of Brathwaite or Worrall. Difficult decision for Harvey to make.

There's no reason why his indefinite leave to remain application shouldn't go through quite quickly.

And, even before his return, another glorious last-ditch win for the Shire.

Interesting read... but the thread title hints at reasons to be cheerful supporting Bristol Rovers. Which are very few. And it's about cricket. So I'm moving it to the cricket section...

Reasons to be cheerful alright. Followed up by outplaying The Sex at the Home of Cricket. Top of the table.
Somerset coming to town. AND SPECTATORS CAN GO IN.

Tonights blast , Somerset v Lancs , proved something special in the end, Lancs looked to be knocking Somerset out after their first 10 overs with a powerful display, but then seemed to get bogged down and struggled in the end to get their 185, And in return it was a sort of role reversal with Banton going rather gung ho and missing out as did Hildreth, They really looked to be struggling in the early overs but a rather scintillating display from Smeed Abell and Lamonby saw then home with almost two overs remaining

Mind you whilst Livingston was there I thought we’d be looking at chasing 200+. Great catch by de Merwe. Well done Somerset.

I only saw the 2nd innings and my first instinct was that it was nowhere near enough runs at Taunton but then Somerset seemed to be a bit stuck in the early over and it looked like it was going to be a game. But in reality I think they timed that chase really well. It felt like Lancs were ahead in the game right up to the point they werren't and then lost very quickly! It was great hitting from Somerset but I really thought Lancs lost the plot and just melted down in the pressure and the atmosphere. Have as good a chance as anyone else of winning finals day I'd have thought.

If we are going to win we’re going to need to show a lot more than we’ve shown in this match. Albeit a different format. Tbh it was as poor an overall display as I’ve seen from Somerset for a few years.

Have a few unexpected days off, couldn't think of anything better to do with them. Really looking forward to it.

After last Wednesday when Nottinghamshire threw away that T20 QF against Hampshire they obviously had a boll****** and came out fighting in this match. Let’s hope Somerset got a similar one after this match and come out fighting at Scarborough. Enjoy it irish.
