When you arrived and your family took control of BRFC the fans were delighted when promotion was secured and we carried you shoulder high down the Gloucester Road. As was I. Of course, many of us soon forgot that it was the previous BOD that laid the foundations for that promotion with the inspired selection of a young manager (D Clarke) and some excellent players (who won the promotion at Wembley) Since then we have witnessed the decimation of experience in the team, a dismissal of the knowledgeable BOD, (replaced now by newbies (or yes men)) and dismissal of the official fanbase who have supported with the necessary funds over many many years. No longer can 'Rovers claim to own a training ground because it is now owned by an overseas Company, in fact, I am struggling to remember what BRFC does own? Perhaps you can remind me? We are a long long way from what you promised when you and your venerable father stood before us in the Presidents Club just a few years ago. I note that you have promised us 'the earth' but I have to wonder what you and your 'pals' are able to achieve based on recent performance? Maybe one day you will call on the 'old brigade' who have helped keep our football club going for so many years or will you continue to drive us into potential extinction?

Are you sure you're not making it up? If you're not, more fool you for believing it - it's a ridiculous promise if by 'old brigade' you mean the Wish I were President Club, no thank you. The current regime still rank way, way above them in my mind based on what I've read on here

Imagine being hailed a hero by being carried down the sea of the Gloucester Road, only for 5 years later sell those very people down the river....... without a paddle.

Roy, at least you're consistently bitter. It must be the chip on each shoulder.

Knowall, it wasn’t so very long ago that you were lauding Wael & co and saying how close the FM stadium was with the information gleaned from all your contacts.
What’s changed?

Knowall what's the position on the SC arranging a vote so they can put forward their candidate to replace KM as Fans Director? Even my local parish council run by OAPS are now having regular council meetings via Zoom, surely that's not beyond the SC?
No longer can 'Rovers claim to own a training ground because it is now owned by an overseas Company, in fact, I am struggling to remember what BRFC does own? Perhaps you can remind me?
When did Rovers last own their own training ground? 30 years ago? Although assuming it's owned by the same overseas company that own the Mem/BRFC does it really make much difference if it's owned by the club anyway, it's not like it can be sold any time soon for a nice profit and the club will then lose out on a nice windfall.

Do Dwayne own BRFC ? I believe that they own the training ground,if thats correct then BRFC are quite possibly paying Dwayne to use the training ground. That would be quite sweet for Dwayne,I suppose that as they are a Jersey based company they dont pay so much tax on their income ?

It's a shame that knowall didn't have a cup of tea and calm down a bit before hitting 'Create post', it was spoiled with the stuff about being 'promised the earth' etc. The club is a shell of what Wael was handed by Higgs, and if anybody thinks for 1 second that this is as bad as it gets then they've paid no attention whatsoever to anything that's happened over the last 5 years. Wael's solution to where we find ourselves is going to be to double down on one of his biggest mistakes and spend more.

He will not accept outside investment and we really are his plaything

It did take me a while for me to work out what the Grimsby fans were chanting, I was pleased when they made it back into the league. Unfortunately they may well be leaving it again this year.

With how bad Grisby's goal difference is they are effectively 7 points from safety with 3 games remaining. They're down. I hope Wael is aware of this, anybody can drop out of the League, regardless of their history. But I suspect he'll just plough on, failing to seek advice from people with experience of dealing with the sort of situation Rovers find themselves in today.
