A ticketing solutions provider is a bloke in a uniform holding a device like a pair of pliers and as you go through the entrance gate he punches a little slot in your ticket so you can't use it again. You need to keep up with technology Darlo, I hear there will soon be an iron horse heading in your direction along a permanent way from Stockton

The fact that you can link accounts and buy tickets sat together suggests a way forward, covid or non covid. Or do you prefer the "we sit where we like" attitude.
Needed for all the big games next season!

Ticketmaster are an efficient organisation in my experience, particularly providing refunds due to cancelled events during the pandemic.
There was no mention of added fees in the press release and hopefully this won't be a negative for supporters.

Need final details, but if it's not going to put costs up and if implementation isn't the complete farce that the stupid Bing-Bong boxes Gorringe had installed was, then this looks to be exactly the sort of modernisation the club needs.
Edit. The other things to add, is that obviously TicketMaster will be getting something out of this, hopefully it's JUST access to customer information for marketing and not a % of money that Rovers desperately need.

One thing thats not been mentioned is that they will offer the chance for fans to re-sell tickets. Hoping not another stub hub style scenario.
Whilst im concerned we will be hit with high fees at least they wont charge £6 for £3’s worth of postage like Rovers do

Just wondering here, does this mean no tickets issued at the stadium?
If so it could be a lead in to letting one or more of the shop staff go?
Of course, it could be that someone was leaving anyway, but if someone who has given many years of loyal service has lost their job for this, well, make your own mind up...

I'm pretty sure there will still be a ticket office on match day because of walk up sales. Plus, complimentary, scouts, officials freebies etc needs to be manned too. Ticketmaster will deal with the away tickets bought in advance, and obviously the home too plus any biggies like Wembley (haha oh how we can only dream of this!).....I don't see any loss of staff over this, it's a more professional approach that's been needed for years.

Well, it would seem that a “ticketing solutions provider" or "first-class ticketing technology and innovation?" is some one who can make the biggest cock up in history of what has been a relatively straight forward process that has been working well for a while now. Thats progress for you……allegedly. 😂😢😩 Absolute bunch of useless s***e…..

I don’t understand. Can someone explain the problem to me please. Sometimes this forum reminds me of Monty Python’s Life of Brian and “what have the Romans ever done for us?”

Sometimes this forum reminds me of Monty Python’s Life of Brian and “what have the Romans ever done for us?” It appears to be the transfer of data from one ticketing agent to another. Which suggests possibly the ex-agent, miffed at losing the contract, won't play ball with Ticketmaster. Just a thought, no doubt wrong.

Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could just walk up to the turnstiles & scan your debit or credit card. Seems impossible for football clubs but ok in supermarkets, petrol stations, buses etc , why does it have to be so difficult?

Just ordered 2 in the now MSK or old SW tent. Got confirmation of ticket but no barcode so I phoned them, 47 minutes later a Scouse accent sats the email will be enough to gain entry but I know this won’t work so it looks like ticket office. I knew this would be a swine. Now I will HAVE to get there much earlier as I, sure the office will be rammed.

Ok
Credit where it’s due and I have to update in that I never saw any barcodes as I though the email was ended as there was a confirmation then a big blank area. When I scrolled further, the barcodes and ticket showed up. I apologise as given my mistake, it was very easy to buy. I now just rock up to turnstile and show the barcodes and we are in. My first ever easy experience of using this. There are lots of tickets available, I mean a large amount

You ought to be able to see what you are asked to print. Anyway, here's what you said you were told earlier by TicketMaster, What chance do you have when you phone them for help and they don't understand their own systems?
