I expect a completely different game. We beat Donny partly through their adventure for 3 points in a make or break way, Town won’t chase the 2 extra points in the same way. Nor will Joey. This won’t be 3 4 3 raumdeuter diamond, this will be orthodox 5 3 2. I expect something drab. I hope for a point. I half anticipate a narrow loss. When Garner beat Curles side they looked like freshly promoted outfit out of their depth prime candidates for 24th place, what do we know about winter recruitment or what’s behind their uptick in form? There's a really interesting breakdown of how we played and set up v Donny, on the other forum that can't be mentioned.... Well, interesting to me. It was: 3-5-1-1 With Leahy and Hanlan/Walker (?) wing backs, Westbrooke just behind Ayunga. It was probably morphing onto a 1-3-1 in mid, but I think Martinez takes up the Grant role effectively. My overall riding point regarding this post is players are playing in their natural positions to their strengths, which appears to support your previous posts of packing the midfield..

Unless someone is actually at the ground, I really don't see how people can pick up what formation we are playing.
We've got a single fixed camera, following the ball around, without the full field of vision, so we can only guess at best.

The other point about formations, that I see people post about, is that they only focus on where they think we are deficient to the opposition, without looking at our own strengths.
If we line up against a team that is playing a different formation then they may have more numbers in a certain area of the field, while we have more numbers in a different area of the field. It's how you take advantage when you are in possession of the ball.
In addition, a team will most likely set up differently depending on the situation - the players will have a role when they are in possession, and the set up will change when out of possession.

I think Joeys messages are getting home more and more.
Giving it 100%,but really doing it, is becoming our way.
Concentration levels being part of the 100%.
Hopefully this attitude has arrived in enough strength and in time to see us stay up.
It is a vital aspect of the game. Not much point in wonderful strategies if any player is not fully focused on their job.
I think we'll have enough of the right stuff to get a great result today.
I'll go
Northampton Town 0 Bristol Rovers 2.

I will be fine with a draw as we have not had back 2 back wins and I don’t see it suddenly happening. I will be very happy to be wrong though Sporadic wins have been followed by poor results and I don’t see that changing and especially V a fellow struggling team

I think the pick up is from the computer bra the players wear which reveal their hot spot in relation to where they are on pitch etc..... it's analyst information. It's far more sophisticated than what the eye can pick up.

That's the only change, which is comfy, but demonstrates the power of the media..... it's been a bit of a Trojan horse with 3 injury returnees news deflection this last week.
