So six teams left in the relegation dogfight and all showing absolutely no signs of going on a decent run to get out of trouble.
Firstly, the only team who won yesterday was NORTHAMPTON, but its unlikely to be enough to save them. With away games at Hull City, Peterborough (who have 10 million rated striker) and Sunderland - DOWN
Next is ROCHDALE, an easier run in compared to Northampton, but in poor form and five points adrift they look out of it - DOWN
Whilst SWINDLE playing against Rochdale, Wimbledon and Wigan, along with games Peterbrough and Portsmouth coupled with financial troubles off the field - DOWN Still following me, we are left with two possiblities GAS OUTCOME 1 our monday match against out of form Doncaster and saturday's game at Northampton are massive. 1 point and we are DOWN If however we can, OUTCOME 2 take 4 points plus and with our relatively easy run in - it's perm any two out of three between GAS, WIGAN, WIMBLEDON - FIGHT IT OUT

With six games left half of them are against the current top three under a manager who couldn’t beat an egg.
If Rovers stay up the film rights to the story would be worth more than JCH.

Two games coming up against Doncaster and Northampton are the most important for me, Doncaster are a side massively out of form and Northampton are relegation rivals. Get a minimum of 4 points, and we’ve manoeuvred ourselves into a position to take it to the wire in the last 5 games, lose both or get just a single point and realistically we will be dead and buried.

The chances of us winning any are slim. I think we'll be relegated before the last couple of games. We're missing Nicholson and Rodman. We surrender the midfield every game so the opposition has time to get into shape. Our defenders aren't mentally tough enough and yet we stick to a back 3 that is so leaky. Sorry, but I think the season is already over even if we win a couple more games.

I agree 100%. 6 points in the next two games will give us a fighting chance.
With the best will in the world, I can't see where those two goals would come from, let alone two clean sheets.
Whilst there is life, there is hope! Hope is all we have right now.

I’m usually quite optimistic but I would have to say that I have been reconciled to relegation for some weeks now. Three managers in the season, shooting ourselves in the foot, no goalscorers, too many injuries, dodgy refereeing decisions, and sheer bad luck, this is all relegation fodder. If we get out of this now I will be amazed.

Reckon we might scrape 2 points at most in the last 7 games

Reckon we might scrape 2 points at most in the last 7 games 45 hours and counting 3 points and it’s ‘game on’ 0 points and it’s 4th Division Crud!

Yes, I think that’s about it. This week is the most important week and it would be good to go into it with the manager building the players up not knocking them down. I reckon JBs probably a better football manager than his results so far show. He’s frustrated as the fans are. His post match press conferences are the equivalent to our match day threads and forums! Get those 4 points from those meetings then we take it to the end. Although I think the most important thing is to beat Northampton and make 3 points up on them. So in a way, 3 points against Doncaster and only 1 against Northampton would be disappointing. It’s a boring thing to say but we need to concentrate on beating Doncaster then move on to the next match...and so on. UTG!

A win on Monday changes everything and lifts the gloom, we could even be out the bottom 4.

It sure was bad luck that we let all of our best players go last summer and failed to bring anybody in during January, terrible, rotten, dreadful unfortunate bad luck.

Unless our two forwards suddenly start clicking as a strike force I can't see us staying up. They get bustled off the ball too easily at the decisive moment or keep hold of it too long and lose it. There's no link-up play between them in the box and they lack a striker's natural ability to ghost into scoring positions. Ayunga has improved steadily over the course of the season but it's all in his build up play. With Nicholson out and Oztumer a shadow of his former self we are heavily dependent on the likes of McCormick and Leahy to see us through. It won't be enough.

The last match, Watching ifollow, when McCormick chips the keeper, as the ball is hitting the back of the net, Hanlan (who is in the box) just turns away and trudges back up the pitch with a sorry look on his face, no fist pumping or congrats to McCormick just a blank look, it tell's a story methinks.

And to think we had somebody like that, the last time we played Ipswich. Challenging for promotion and a player who's value is now worth a third of a new football stadium.

I think all we are missing is goals. Surely that is a problem that can be easily fixed?

7 games if which I would say 4 are winnable and 7 are losable.
Can beat Donnie, Noton, Donsie(?), and the Paedos.
Wouldn't expect a point out of the other 3, 12 points will do it.
Come on Joe, winners make things happen, losers let them.

I really like the progress that Ayunga has made this season. Every game I am willing him to score as the rest of his game is good. He gets in excellent positions and creates chances.
I would love him to get one of his backside on Monday, and then go on to hit the net regularly. That might be all it takes...
He will be a good player for us I feel.
Hanlan is a mystery. I don't understand why we have not got more goals from him. He has scored 9 so far, so we know he can score. I was hoping for closer to 15 from him this season based on the first half of the season. The goals have dried up for him. Why is this?

Yep all we need is goals and that's easily fixed, there's a striker playing for a little town in the 3rd division, who's a snip at 10 Million!

It's such a shame we've missed the best opportunity to stay up.....we have been in control of our own destiny, now we're not. We still have to rely on other results around us, no matter what we do.
It cannot be stressed enough, relegation will lead to many more negative impacts. The implications of a relegation at this time could be disastrous, it will take years, if not a generation to get us back to GC days...... staying up is paramount for our future.

Agree it's out of our hands but effectively we are in control of our own destiny...win all 7 and we'll avoid the drop
