Wael's being made to sound delusional now. B***** is going to galvanise the fan base! It's singularly the most divisive appointment in the 50+ years I've followed the club. He's then quoted as claiming that the club's 'family and community ethos' were a factor in the appointment. It's beyond parody. I have no idea who writes this nonsense for Wael, but they are an absolute idiot. I think the appointment of Ben Garner created more divide. With respect Bas, that’s the same argument as arguing over Garner’s ppg vs B*****’s. It’s trying to win a tallest dwarf competition while the bigger picture is that the Rovers fanbase are absolutely fed up of the situation the club is in. The only division is that we are all divided on what the answer is.

I choose to be supportive of Wael's carefully chosen words letter and timing to the fans. I think, with hindsight, it's been a classic stick or twist season......the timing of changes and the actual choices were in itself something which would divide the fanbase because of it's very nature. Because it's been a poor 15 months or 1.5 seasons. I'll just take my previous posts (because it's unfair to bring anyone else in)... I wanted a new manager for the start of the season and transfer window. MANY, INCLUDING WAEL DISAGREED. But I could see why Wael did what he did, and removed when he did. So, with hindsight, decisions have stemmed from a poor start. But, if Wael hadn't made his decisions at the time he did, one could level accusations he did nothing and didn't care.... negligent (as was last week's buzz word?)....a little bit like Higgs keys on the John Ward watch? In a way, at least Wael has tried to be pro active,no matter how misdirected that might have appeared to be. Wael has made decisions that I disagree with. At times I disagree with. I'm sure most of you will agree with this!? I just think the motivation for those decisions were taken with the best of intentions for the progression of the club, no matter how poor they were....no matter how delusional they are....no matter how poorly advised they appear to be. We can see there are problems on and off the pitch, I'm just putting our differences apart and support in a time of need... I’m sure he means well, but for me if he really means that well for the club there can be no excuses for him constantly getting it wrong. My biggest frustration and dislike of Wael stems from the fact that the extent of his ability to try and turn the tide is simply sacking the manager. Starnes and Widdrington are his mates and no matter how much he wants things to improve the one thing it seems he won’t do is the only thing left to be done: sack his mates and hire some quality professionals to run the football side. Until he does that he is simply not doing enough and, to use a B*****-ism, is displaying severe negligence in his role as custodian. All this paying off debt is him covering his own mistakes made because he won’t do anything to improve the quality of the decision making at the club. Do as you have always done, get what you have always got.

I always had cover for interruption of trade for my businesses when I was employing people. It gave me security and also meant that if something unforeseen happened I didn't even need to consider staff salaries, so everyone's employment was secured. Business interruption is a coverage Pandemic/Epidemic/Communicable Disease are perils If the peril is the cause of a loss, then the insurance policy responds to the extent of the coverage Business interruption is still available for most perils - eg Fire - but not for Pandemic Will have to bow to your superior knowledge on this as there was never a pandemic, plague of rats etc that I had to navigate through. Have just been listening to radio adverts where ambulance chasing type companies are inviting business owners who had cover in place and have been told that cover was not applicable for Covid to make contact as it appears that some policies did in fact offer some protection. But as is the Rovers way now, everything is shrouded in secrecy, so we'll never find out what that £3m figure actually relates to and how it was covered.

You mean a dozen people moaning on a minor internet forum Far from it. As I've explained to you previously, you saw what people really think of B***** when threads were created on Rovers forums commenting on his arrival at Fleetwood. Great idea, from this day forward we will all judge players, managers and coaches purely on on things not connected with Bristol Rovers. F*ck me, that Tisdale is brilliant. What a record, several promotions. Cant get enough of Graydon, great record. And Buckle! Lucky old us! Tom Nichols has done well too I reckon that coach Garner is worth a shout next time we need a manager - got a good coaching CV

The factual nature of your post reduces a reason to knock the owner. But this will be ignored over time and lack of insurance cover will still become 'fact' i.e "Wael failed to get adequate insurance and lost us £3m" Can't anybody remember how desperate the PL were for Project restart? Because they would lose millions. I do recall reading only one organisation actually had some insurance that partly covered them and it was Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Anyway, no matter. Waels fault.

If that is the case then he really needs to look at those around him , who are running the club in his absence. I really hope lessons have been learned but , if we ever get back to going, I’m not paying £26 to sit in a tent & watch L2, again. Someone said that to have a rainbow you need a little rain, well I’m sick of being soaked and am bitterly disappointed that we let go so much hard work. Completely understand Kp, and in most ways I'm with you. And I tend to agree with the ballsed up with good intentions......whom hasn't done this? Thing is, there wasn't much criticism on forums that I could see of the way Starnes and Widders were doing their job? Or the way Wael employed/associated anyone whom was a criminal 15 months ago?

OK then. April 2nd and we have a nailed on contender to be in the end of year 'Top 10 daftest posts'. BTW, check what people at clubs Garner had worked at previously had to say about him. One incoming manager made it a condition of him accepting the job that Garner wasn't allowed anywhere near the first team. So his history was a bit chequered.

No one was complaining publicly on forum that I could see about Starnes / Widders 15 months ago prior to GC departing? In fact, when Starnes defacto replaced Hamer, most applauded this appointment and his subsequent early media interviews were a breath of fresh air. Regards to employing professionals....Starnes was at Plymouth and Yeovile before so has been in the footballing system for years, so has Widderington with Coventry connections. No one complained when we purchased our squad pre season, most thought it was best transfer window in memory. I totally understand it's gone t!ts up, and what your post says it's difficult to disagree with, but this is only in in last 15 months, not constant.

Ok, seeing its all such a secret I've done some digging and finally found out a bit: Due to Covid, it seems no fans have been allowed in to games apparently, so club income has more or less ceased. This will add up to about £3million lost income it seems, by the end of the season. And Wael is going to fund that, how great is that?! So its all clear now, hope that helps. Funnily enough, my contacts indicated that other clubs have lost income too. Who would have believed it! Damn this bloody secrecy .

What happened to commercial revenue streams, how are those streams affected moving forwards? It's wonderful that you make these assertions, but without evidence that's all they are, unsupported assertions.

You mean a dozen people moaning on a minor internet forum You are being facetious with this, all the rovers groups and fans are talking about B***** and court cases Would you say then that Gaschat is not representatative of the fan base as a whole KP? Certainly from reading that you would think that B***** is loved by all

Surely it cuts both ways and the B***** fan club are basing their adulation on past glories?
If an unknown (ie. Garner) had walked in, lost 7 out of 10, whilst blaming everyone from Mike Jones to dark conspiracies and calling others negligent, despite his own record, he’d have been laughed out of the door by now.

Where does he get the £3 million net from it should be gross ? I doubt if there is any insurance cover for football clubs. One thing he does need to find is a new communications company, it all comes across a bit like a student who keeps going to an ATM every week to draw down money but doesn't know what's in the account but it will be alright as long as his guardian keeps topping it up. I'm not sure I'd be highlighting B*****'s involvement with the Community Trust and as for the NHS visits he's responsible for many people receiving treatment at those centres. There is also this belief by the owner that B***** is innocent and his appearance in Sheffield Crown Court on June 7th is for a motoring offence not a well witnessed CTV recorded actual bodily harm assault. Even if he avoids a custodial sentence he could well face eighteen months imprisonment suspended for eighteen months; 250 hours’ unpaid work and a curfew at his home address from 2000 to 0600 for 3 months. How is he going to manage with that curfew hanging around his neck and do Rovers want their manager picking up litter in a high visibility jacket on the Downs all winter. As for the season ticket offer, can't wait for that, if your lucky it sounds as if all clubs will be allowed 30% of it's seating capacity, that means sell out crowds of 350 at the Mem. Deluded really sums up where the letter is at and as for the Board it doesn't exist, it's a front just to shield the owner from responsibility, he pulls the strings on everything, they are just happy to pick their pay cheques every month and say yes master. Good points. The thought of the manager picking up litter in a high vis jacket is hilarious and the most Rovers thing ever. It would knock Santa’s grotto into a cocked hat. Can you remember when Wael first joined? Everyone cooed about how professional we were now we had a proper business man in charge and Higgs ha departed. Fast forward 5 years and I can’t recall the last time I saw anyone use “professional” in the same sentence as Wael. Even the denizens of Gaschat have stopped pretending Rovers are a professional outfit.

Yeah but yeah but yeah but Joey spent 5 million at Fleetwood and got in the play offs so he’s quite clearly a managerial genius who can operate on a shoe string.

They bloody wouldn't let me in! I tried really hard but Nope, no crowds allowed! They said apparently its due to a global pandemic or something. God knows where they got that from, probably Wael or Gorringe making it up. Such secrecy.

In case anybody was in any doubt that this poster is just making stuff up and has zero evidence, here's your proof. Asked to demonstrate what he claimed he goes on to make a statement unrelated in any way to how the claimed £3m shortfall is being funded but references the reason for the shortfall. It's fine if contradiction wants to just blindly support Wael, good for him, choose a position and run with it, but at least he could be honest and admit that's what he's doing. For me, I'll sway more towards the Swiss model of robust research and when questioned providing data and links to resources rather than just saying that you decided to guess what you thought may be right, or went along with what felt comfortable.

I talk to a fair few and his appointment is something a fair few have questioned. It’s a bit like when we go to games, you get a much better understanding of the true feelings
