So did I, it was the obvious choice. And if he didn’t want to do it then give him the boot because he’s the one who vociferously backed this rubbish and told us that there were enough goals in the team to keep us up. He should have been “invited” to prove it or GTFO. As it is he’s been allowed to skulk off upstairs and if we get relegated he’ll emerge from his ivory tower to tell us that it was all B*****’s fault. Scenario following Tisdale sacking. Can these players put in more effort? NO Jesus, if you think the players were committed at Accy we have no hope

Scenario following Tisdale sacking. Can these players put in more effort? NO Jesus, if you think the players were committed at Accy we have no hope You have highlighted one game and I bet Accringtons manager is feeling a bit sore this morning against a team who Tisdale's Rovers drew with on their own patch. In the games after that I couldn't fault the players, I thought they gave their all for Tisdale and Widdrington. I came to the conclusion that they just weren't good enough which I think most of us can now see.

If Widdrington refused to carry out a task which was in the best interest of the club then he should have been relieved of his duties. Nobody should be bigger than the club. There were other options within the club if he had refused. TW was employed as DoF, you can't just tell somebody to do a different role if they don't want to, if he had been relieved of his duties then that would be two managers and a DoF all on gardening leave! Given how intelligent B***** claims to be it's surprising he ever took on the task given that PT said we needed a magician, which probably was the case. I don't think Wael is adverse to wasting money on yet another ex employee so getting rid of Widdrington because he couldn't afford to shouldn't have been an issue.

I have a vague feeling that PNE scraped home against Hyde in 1887. I've temporarily forgotten the scoreline.

I was playing for Lawrence Rangers v Miners Arms on the Plateau in the Bristol Regional Sunday League where we won 26-0. The opposition didn't help themselves though drinking beer at half time whilst we sucked on oranges.

That was long before sucking on citrus fruit became euphemism.
Why is thinking coming to the problem/solution is managers? Why blame any of the managers and even Tommy?
1. What directional plan is the board operating? 2. What’s been influence of agents on club’s recruitment? 3. How professional and robust is recruitment process?

I’m not sure there were...Mansell? Hargreaves? For me it was Widdrington either does it or leaves and if not look externally. But not at B*****. Be prepared to pay compo for Michael Duff or Michael Flynn. At Rovers we have historically always spent big on players but never put much money into the manager’s role. We’ve never, to my mind, ever paid compo for a manager and either promoted from within or gone for an out of work manager. Out of work managers have never worked for us and there is probably a reason for that. Once again, failure to change our habits results in piss poor outcomes. We paid compo for Ian Atkins. John Ward first time round?

Joey publicly said Preston job not challenging enough and club has no history like the Gas. What would Alfie Biggs thoughts have been? p.s. I hear there is an amazing new book about Alfie Biggs coming out soon.

Amazing book I would say fantastic if I was pushed.

You could hope that Stewie from Family Guy turns up in your room with some form of device that transports you to a pool party involving The GoGos in 1980, it ain't gonna happen though.

McCann turns down Preston.
Why do I have the feeling Wael will ward off Preston with a pay rise and 5 year contract for B*****?

Joey publicly said Preston job not challenging enough and club has no history like the Gas. Yes, one of Tom Finney’s biggest regrets is that he never played for us. So I’m told I think Harry's being ironic
