B*****’s agent probably trying to remind the rest of the world that he’s a sought after commodity.

Unless, it’s just a case of trolling a single player who headed that way from Fleetwood.

Though there may be a bit of kite-flying going on here and journos wanting to easily cover their required square inches of print, Joey would be tempted with Rovers sinking faster than my first post-lockdown pint and a chance to go to the Championship.
Me, much as I would like to see the back of the clown, it's a non-story - sadly.

To answer the o p:
What is going on in the world? The world's been crazy for a while.
Why would this happen? Because Preston are desperate.
Why would Preston make that approach? Because they're desperate.
Why would B***** leave when he has just started? Because he wouldn't want a relegation on CV. Because he would be working closer to family. Because it's easier work than here. Because it's a better offer. Because it'll heighten his profile.
This doesn't make any sense. It's kind of making sense to me, but for Preston I don't think so.

Oh he wants that job, no doubt about it. And he would take it if it was offered to him. But it looks like, unlike us, the Preston fans have some pride and are unanimous that they don’t want B*****. He’s our problem now and will be for some time.

Exactly.JB would only be the appropriate 100,000,000th million football manager to pledge allegiance to their current club, only to leave 5 minutes later. In the scenario he did leave for PNE,I think Bristol Rovers would become an even bigger joke than we already are. It would put us below Barnstoneworth United in the respectability table.

As I've been watching the same recurring scenario since 1970, I see no reason for it to change now.

When he looks at our tents and PNE's lovely ground might just be slightly tempting and he can avoid the relegation on his CV due in my humble opinion totally to the hopeless BG.

A Preston fan has said to me B***** not in the running. He’s sure the jobs going to the Hull manager. He said word got out that B*****’s advisors have put his name forward so a flurry of bets have made him favourite, which I think is what happened here as well

I bet Preston’s board still haven’t stopped laughing.

Have a read of how the Preston fans have overwhelmingly rejected B***** and you’ll realise we’re already there in terms of respectability Bas. It seems to me that we were one of the few fanbases around who not only accepted B***** but actually grubbed around in the dirt demanding we sign him. The B***** Rovers “love affair” is not going to end well, methinks.

Who should we have appointed? I could have had a pretty good go at telling everyone how crap they are at their jobs while taking us to 23rd in the league

Who should we have appointed? Exactly The answer was staring us in the face: Widdrington should have been made to eat the dinner that he served up for everyone else, or pack his bag and sling his hook. He arguably got more of a tune out of these players with his keep it simple philosophy than B***** has. Our chance creation went through the roof. Limp through to the end of the season and then the club would have been in a place to think long term with a credible manager who wouldn’t be under the threat of jail. As it is Wael batted his eyelashes at the only manager available with a few wins to his name and gave him and his entourage a 2.5 year deal whilst still retaining the dregs of previous regimes. How on Earth is that credible ownership? Wael keeps making long term decisions at the drop of a hat and it’s not working. Until the club looks itself in the mirror we’ll continue to get what it’s always got since GC left: s**te management
