Just read the latest article from Sam Frost squarely blaming Garner and Tisdale for the current position. An interesting argument, although one I’m finding a bit boring and repetitive now, if not toxic. I wonder what his user name is on Gaschat? One blamed Garner for yesterday’s result and said heads must roll. Can we sack Garner again? Sam Frost wants Donald Trump to succeed Joey, if B***** is forced out by the gashead.org B***** baters, just shows he doesn’t care for the soul of the club, just selling copy. Cuts both ways though, in reality he’s putting off us loyal gasheads from paying attention to him so losing readers. Garner, who came across as a decent enough bloke, has to be seen by ALL fans as not the controlling hand of the New Direction, but a pawn in a game that began when Cocko was dragging us up the table only to have the rug pulled from under him, and his winter window shopping list handed back to him with derisive laughter.

I read it as blaming recruitment for the lack of goals (which is what Tis said, and probably puts Widders and Wael in the frame as much as anyone at this stage of the season), and lack of defensive concentration for the set piece goals conceded (which points at the players and all of the defence coaches this season)

🤭 😆🤣😂😆 Convincing!? Convinced we would be relegated. The most delusional post, that even if true doomed us to relegation because BG wasn't removed soon enough. Do everyone a favour.... ? You can quote stats as much as you like, start and stop time as much as you like, but there's no doubt about it....we are where we are because of BG no matter how it which way you choose to cut it....and a this new season rubbish, previous managers weren't afforded such luxury, GC and DC had to stand for what they done with the tools left to them. BG made it worse. Look where we are now? Diabolical post. View AttachmentView AttachmentHaha! 🤔 We're all different, aren't we? You can use any stats to fit any narrative. As we're playing choose your own stop start statistic for display, can I play? I'll choose: The first 69 minutes v Wigan Athletic. v Shrewsbury. The first 50 minutes v Burton before the sending off. The first 30 minutes v Hull City. v Accrington Stanley. v AFC Wimbledon. The first 32 minutes v Charlton Athletic. The first 70 minutes v Swindle. The first 38 minutes v Sunderland. There.... unbeaten. BG statistics as a whole should be up for examination. But conveniently, they're hidden because they're awful. So was the football. So was the recruitment. So were the performances. All of that in general.. Why not display table after 2nd (we were 20th) or 3rd (we were 24th, bottom)? That was after being knocked out of League Cup match because of the journey, and failing to beat Walsall from a division below and a bottom of the table Oxford in the boycott trophy. No team gets relegated after 11 matches but it was right to remove BG - just the wrong time - which should have been in season curtailment (which I posted at the time). But because we went from one woeful manager, to one with hindsight not much better, doesn't mitigate the first. If you're talking about performance, it's only opinion, but I can't remember any match we lost under BG where we deserved something more. In essence we got exactly what we deserved - and that's including actually being there in real time and place from previous season. Watching JAB we've been very close (like v Sunderland) to getting something out of most matches. Even some of their fans say we frustrated them and they couldn't get their mid to link with forward play.... something an experienced manager can come in and decipher. I honestly don't think on our performances we deserved to lose yesterday v Sunderland. Or v Burton. Or v Charlton. Or v Wigan. Or v Swindon.... but we did, and it's frustrating. Can't honestly say the same for BG matches.

Tisdale and Garner didn’t have one

To the likes of me and you it was obvious that he wasn’t up to it. It’s another sign of how badly run this club is that his dismantling of Coughlan’s side was not enough to prove how bad a manager he was and that he should be given a chance to put a squad together and really finish the job. Wael and Widdrington must have saw dust for brains.

you know the feeling when your sat hoping that "that goal" is going to come. but knowing it just ain't.and as DC used to say ... we move on to the next one!! Yep i know the feeling, when 'that goal' is going to come, and that's when one gasman slips a leak and all the 'hard work' that's gone before hurts like an over tight gastric band! Then in the last five minutes, when the gas finally threaten to 'explode' you also know 'that goal' just ain't going to come because we have no strikers to light the fire and heyho! yet another pointless match!

Can't honestly say the same for BG matches. If you think B***** has put together a good run of performances of nearly just unlucky results, whilst so many of us see a side who should be fighting for survival invisible second half of most games. Created not one clear chance the whole game after game. Had zero spells of pressure the whole game. didn’t knock it around and play any football at any point. Either you or we are very wrong, there’s no middle ground or compromise here. It doesn’t mean you can’t win games surrendering the middle, going for press and hustle bustle. But if Joey lines us up surrendering the middle game after game and giving opponents so many pockets and possession, we are unlikely to go on the sort of run that gets us out of trouble or win any promotions. No transition, possession, territory, good balls in box and creativity is no control of any game and no run of results. You are not going to win every game you deserved to win because you played the better football, but you are simply going down if never the better side and didn’t deserve to win game after game. Secondly. Garner. What planet you people on? Seriously. It all began with Garner, ended with Garner, all the damage is down to Garner? He wasn’t here long. It’s dubious how much control he had, particularly over transfers. He’s not even in the picture when cocko is not supported, there’s no Garner anywhere when the agents and board laughed at Cocko’s target list for the window, because we were now going in a different direction, youthful players on contracts they haven’t proved ready for, fancy Dan ball players, in all shapes and sizes including barrels. Again, if you think it’s Garner and can’t see the truth of what really happened here, there’s no compromise with you - you need to get on board not so much tough on Garner but tough on the causes of Garner.

Garner was here long enough. Long enough to rip up 5 years of hard work, to press the reset button and put us years behind and back - some were even willing to accommodate that for the long term goo. The problem was compounded because we didn't repair the mistakes when we had a chance. We failed to credibly replace JCH, we had imbalance in squad, we did have players with some experience but we had few (if any) that you could call leaders. Now....some like to think of TW MS WAQ as responsible for recruitment? There was only one manager whom signed everyone before October. BG. At the time of each individual signing, almost everyone in and around the club including fans were on board as to why we had signed them....some even said it was the best transfer window in memory? The problem begins because (imo) no one is questioning the coaching. Because few, if any BG signings have appeared consistently good. From 4th in the league, actually 2nd at one time, BG dismantled a winning team and replaced with an assembly of players barely resembling a team capable of competing. The matches we list, we got thumped in alot of them. We deserved nothing. Under JAB, we haven't been thumped. We've lost. But in each of those losses, we've had chances, albeit half chances to score and effect the result differently. We've set up better that we've not been overrun (except v Plymouth where he didn't match up formation). It isn't enough, you're right, it isn't good enough, you're right there too we haven't pressed enough. Surrendered mid - good point. I totally get what you post, but what could any other manager get out of mostly BG signings that JAB can't?

WHAT? what about the argument the weakness of Ben Garner the rookie was actually signing up to in office but not in power type stitch up proper strong managers wouldn’t have accepted? That’s basically what happened here isn’t it?

WHAT? what about the argument the weakness of Ben Garner the rookie was actually signing up to in office but not in power type stitch up proper strong managers wouldn’t have accepted? That’s basically what happened here isn’t it? We're completely off topic! Have no idea what your last paragraph means.... apologies....am just thick, I guess. I see it quite simple..... BG makes signings. PT makes signings. GC makes signings. DC makes signings. There were obviously targets that never materialised for whatever reason, but if those managers didn't want to recruit the individual players would not be here. The manager has the overall say. I see it even simpler....JCH wanted away alot earlier than he left (as opposed to Snake), and wasn't credibly replaced. This fundamental problem directly leads to our relegation predicament......is JAB responsible? Yep....5 years of DC and GC that propelled us to 4th. Credible promotion candidates, something could only dream of. First time in 20 years. That's hard work. The downs of Mansfield, Altrincham, Braintree. The turn around. The celebration after Dagenham, for anyone whom was... down Gloucester Road? The first promotion won in Bristol. So many hard working team individuals that made their name and played with heart and passion (did anyone go to Gateshead?). Yep, Wembley v Grimsby, the emotional outbursts of print that. A connection between fans and the club that were in some way built back up....all that and more....Whom was at Ipswich? Yep, all of it out the window with bland tippy tappy slow, scratchy beardy and make like for like subs after 60-70 mins and getting turned over by Southend youth (on the pitch!)....done and dusted. Relegated. We've been set back years.... That's just the way I see it after investing time and money over years following when we were allowed.....we are back to buckle mcghoo penney days of feeling lost.
