Jaaks back. Puts Day on the bench. Starting for Walker, debut for Martinez. Barrett makes the bench and it's 2 up front with Ayunga/Hanlan reprising their strike partnership. An interesting approach. Fair play.Anssi returns is very good. A newish team.Might as well. Exciting to see a couple of 'new' selections.

Team sheet says 4 3 3 to me, how about you? The two CBs probably the most youthful pairing we could put out there. The 3 in midfield an average age of about 12. I’ll let you decide for yourself what that says about seriously playing big game in survival battle. Walker ahead of Daly tells us Daly’s leg fell off in the night and had to be sown back on, in which case it’s surprising he has made the bench. I promised myself there is nothing more B***** can do in his ephemeral stint as Rovers boss to get me angry. That promise lasted about as far as seeing that team sheet.

Looks like 4 at the back today? If so, good.
But unless we can get a foot on it in midfield, we could be in for a hiding. Is Upson injured or too many yellows?

Some reports this week, Chairman and Manager have held the blue and white cloth and re-plighted their troth. Today, obvious from the team sheet, begins reset to Joey’s L2 top 7 campaign.
Reset to what? Those of us not keyboard fans, actually in the ground for visit of a Joey B***** team has to fear reset to the sort of unwatchable gamesmanship borderline cheating football Fleetwood became well known for under B*****, meaning Rovers will lose the support of every neutral football fan in the world. Not that it brought Fleetwood anything other than debt and disaster. Look at them now.

Sunderland unbeaten in 9 and I can't see it ending today. Charlie Wyke is L1 joint top-scorer (with JCH).

B***** makes four changes to his side ahead of this afternoon's clash with Sunderland...
Anssi Jaakkola takes his place in goal for the first time since 2020, following a return from injury. Elsewhere, youngsters Pablo Martinez and Zain Walker start in place of Jack Baldwin and James Daly, with Zain Westbrooke replacing Ed Upson in midfield.

Midfield battle lost and defence caves in under relentless pressure = heavy defeat,or (hopefully) Sunderland miss every chance and Rovers win 1-0 with their only shot of the game.
