I've just been told that the shiite have a piece of cockney rhyming slang named after them, whereas rovers have zilch.
I've asked my granner about this but she clams up, which is unusual. So I have to conclude that there is something smirky going on here.

It's a well known fact that that if someone is described to 'be a Bristol Rover', it is Cockerney Rhyming Slang for someone said to 'be in clover'.
Therefore, someone who is living well, without financial stress, living luxurious life, being well off ... ahem!
