Reading some of these comments it appears that I've been wrong all my life. We actually aren't any better than scum like Millwall, West Ham, Liverpool, 1982, Villa, Cardiff, Swansea, Chelsea. I honestly thought that we had standards. For the first time in well over 50 years of following the club I'm ashamed to be associated with Bristol Rovers. What about Gasheads that ruined the wedding reception at Tewksbury on the way back to Bristol? Just one example of how we are only human. First I've heard of that, so my original comment still stands. But interesting that your first instinct is to draw a compassion with an incident of disorder. You do know that B***** has an outstanding court appearance where he faces an accusation of attacking an opposition manager, don't you?

Maybe he'll calm down.Never know. I don't want to bring up shameful moments, but there are quite a few. I'm just pointing out I don't think Rovers enjoy any better reputation than many clubs. Hiring Joey B***** might work out and as I posted somewhere, our good work in the community will continue. That's perhaps our great thing. Edit.Paddy Madden might sign now and if he does,we'll stay up.

We'll see how chipper you feel when he attacks the first referee, or opposition player, or journalist, or random stranger he decides he doesn't like the look of. But of course, like all good Scousers, it's never his fault and there's always an explanation, just like when he kicked and headbutted those Citeh players on the day they won the League.

For the record - I witnessed the altercation between Holloway and a young fan some years ago. I know the fan - went to school with his father. All he shouted was "come on Ollie, get behind them [the team]". Holloway went berserk, was halfway across the perimeter wall and had to be restrained by the bench, Garry Thompson amongst them. Holloway tried to resign afterwards but GD persuaded him to stay a while longer. Be careful about sanctimonious outrage.

Sounds like Wael had to chase him and give him what he wanted according to Bristol Live.

I cannot see how he fits into the club structure in any way shape or form. He appears to be someone the owner wants but not who the board want (according to Bristol Post) which would be my opinion too. I can see why wael would go for him but I reckon he is our boards worst nightmare. Will go one of two ways but I don’t expect both B***** and our current board to both be in situ in 6 months time!

The incident with the Stoke goalkeeper springs to mind. Gavin Ward was it? Going out of your way to employ someone with a long history of violent outbursts and an outstanding court appearance is something very different.

Shameful if true, and would show that Wael has zero understanding of the history and standards we have at our club. Going by Gaschat we never had any standards (apart from Steve Cotterill, he’s the monster lurking Gaschat’s bed because they consider physical violence less of an affront than saying “Rag Ass Rovers” on TV)

Not sure if you saw the response on social media from a section of our fans regarding our players taking the knee with Oxford in direct support of one of our own players? There would have been plenty of boos if the fans were present on that evening.

Sounds like Wael had to chase him and give him what he wanted according to Bristol Live. Makes him sound like a hormonal teenage girl on Tinder. Probably not far from the truth given how weak at the knees he seems to get over “famous” people. Well this is certainly one for his instagram page.

Just imagine the scenes when Joey asks Uncle Tommy for Jayden Stockley for Christmas and on Christmas Day comes downstairs at 6am full of excitement and Christmas cheer only to unwrap Coco the Clown. I wouldn’t want to be the family cat when that happens and young B***** throws a tantrum

I’m afraid Wael will try to please everybody and end up pleasing nobody Bas. Then we're doomed Swiss. No two ways about it if WAQ is like that. Well I’m often seen as a doom merchant Bas But I think you can already see the confrontation coming and a B*****/McKay axis will make mincemeat of a Widdrington/Starnes alliance. The answer to that will be “ why not, we would be replacing losers with winners”. But we should be under no illusions that yes, compared to what we have now JB and WM might be classed as winners, but they are winners for themselves and not necessarily for a team. So in bringing them in Wael is gambling that while Rovers might gain some benefit as a spin off from their involvement what is highly likely, IMO, is that whatever happens they will drain him of his remaining funds.

I described this Rovers chapter to someone as a as a powder keg Swiss. Hitler use to just toss ideas in the general direction of his generals and let them squabble amongst themselves.Survival of the fittest sort of thing. So your money is on the new boys to win through.Well if they're not going to work together, some resignations are needed. Not saying WAQ is like Adolf mind. I wish I knew just how much £s WAQ has and how much he has coming in. Edit. The signing of Paddy Madden from Fleetwood would be a good start and imo see us stay 3rd tier.
