When I returned from RAF Laarbruch in Germany in 1969,I chose RAF Colerne,Bath,RAF Locking at Weston and RAF Lyneham.Think it must have been a City fan who sent me to RAF Stafford.Been here since then but amazingly moving next month to Colyton in Devon. Rovers used to train at RAF Colerne under Ray Graydon but he banned the press which wasn't exactly a PR Master stroke. Yes I remember Rovers trainning at Colerne, as late as the 2007 promotion season IIRC. When did we go to train at Colerne, was it after Geoff Dunford wanted us out of The Beeches? And When did we stop training there? I'm sure someone on this forum will know!

It was Ron Craig who wanted us to leave the Beeches so we left to go to Golden Hill where the pitches were never up to standard and the facility actually cost more. After going to Colerne we were due to go to The Wise Campus SGS Stoke Gifford campus but this never happened and Bristol City moved their academy into there. After Colerne we went to Hengrove following complaints by the players about travelling to Colerne (led by Steve Phillips) and Paul Molesworth (head scout of one) told me the story of how he popped over to The Happy Landings for some lunch in his Rovers track suit. "I thought I was going to fookin die" were his words.

I wasn't sure at all. But I know now. Bambi shouldn't really be allowed a third concurrent username.

Haha! Must have shaved the tash off...! In the Eastern European countries, having a tache is a sign of masculinity. My dear old dad never got involved in school stuff, mum was fierce enough 😂😂 but he took umbrage at me being sent home, to shave the bum fluff off of my top lip and he absolutely terrified the head. A memory I will never forget. Just had to share that un

apparently back in the building!! More evidence that Tisdale was being undermined behind the scenes. Time to move on.

More evidence that Tisdale was being undermined behind the scenes. Time to move on. why do you reckon that happened Pop - he was hardly in the building long enough to make enemies? Probably not a popular choice from the outset. I also said that he wasn’t right for the club but didn’t like the treatment he appeared to receive. Any way, one of his business deals has just earned him a 7 figure sum so with his Rovers pay off he isn’t destitute.
