Ogogo loan is over, back in the door. Someone would need to be moved out of squad before he can be added I assume.
Think some on here will be excited at his return.

It's only good news to me, as I didn't see Abs worse than what we've got already.
I was baffled at his exclusion under BG anyway...?
Hopefully he can resurrect his career with us, or we can help him progress up a different path.....but not exile him to non league (?) Unless that's what he wants, but I see his contributions much better than that.

I was baffled at his exclusion under BG anyway...? club says that his stats were dropping off a lot - 'his legs were going', as they say as a workhorse player, that is why they made the decision they said. Also probably influenced a bit by the fact that he wasn't a BG tippy-tapper

I think he's a decent player. You need to have an effective disruptor to help get you on the front foot. I like watching those sort of players because I prefer football with a bit physicality about it. I honestly think an Ogogo type player would have actually suited the way BG set up his sides quite well because we would have earned the space for those creative players to work in. 'Earning the space' seemed to be an old fashioned idea for BG and his acolytes but I would argue that it is still an essential part of playing the game at League 1 level. Even though I like Ogogo I'm actually less convinced he would fit with Tisdale's approach because he seems to prefer playing with more width so you probably need to prioritise better distributors in the middle of the park (if you're only playing with 2) than Ogogo normally delivers.

The problem I have with him is that in the latter games i saw he did not want the ball when we had it.
Hope to eat humble pie on his return but am not convinced.
Also what is the plan now? Little, Rodman, Ogogo, Upson back in the fold, does this mean we are looking at experience while near the bottom? Hare, Tutunda, Hargreaves, Liddle, to be discarded or given time?

All of the best tippy tappy sides have someone to stop the opposition playing and to get the ball. A good ball winner should be adored by his team-mates who can't or won't get stuck into tackles and interceptions after losing the ball. If you've got a team mate who does, watch him, and get beside him whenever he narrows his eyes at the opponent with the ball. He'll get you the ball, so get near him and want the pass. Stop bloody watching and give the ball winner an easy forward outlet. But I can't coach them. I bet lots of Rovers best ball playing midfielders just love playing with someone like him who'll do that work and get them the ball to play.

I guess Ogogo and Grant will compete for the same role? Who would you say is better given that I have watched few matches in the last few years.

There's an idea that the ball winning centre-midfield player is mainly a defensive force to stop the opposition playing. I don't see it like that at all. I think the truly effective ball winning central midfielder is a key attacking option because they will win you the ball and put you in front of a good portion of the opposition's midfielder thereby creating space for your attacking players to cause havoc. Hence why I'd argue that Ogogo was more effective when he first came because he was positioned up the pitch but he ended up being positioned deeper and deeper to protect the back line and was not as useful there. I see those type of players more as a battering ram than a sponge.

I would let Mark Little go. Injured or not fit far too often, therefore a waste of money.

I would let Mark Little go. Injured or not fit far too often. The season may end early again,so we have to bear in mind we do have a short term plan of not getting relegated. So achtung what players we release. Some may be better kept and allowed to leave once we're hopefully safe from the drop. Not that I think we'll finish in the bottom four.

For the squad of 21 what players are not counted. Alfie as homegrown. Who else is deemed homegrown and who is outside the age limit. I get confused by the rules. Playing 1 4 1 2 1 2
So you should have 2 experienced players for each position. Which means 22. We currently have 3 keepers. So need at least two homegrown or under age players. To get Ogogo, Davies, a striker into the squad then lots of juggling required. Add a right full back and gets worse.
Yet then you have the issue that those that are our players are paid even if not in squad.
Seems a Tis has aot of juggling to do.
