England lockdown.
It's law,or will be in a day or so.
Possible £10,000 fines for those that breach rules without good reason.
Premier and EFL games carry on.

Premier League football and other elite sports with testing regimes and bubbles in place will continue in England despite the country heading into lockdown again. England fell into line with Scotland, which earlier on Monday had agreed that football and rugby clubs can continue to train and play as normal after introducing new restrictions for the general public north of the border.

Again, I'm very pleased the government consider that I have been watching elite sport all these years watching Rovers. I can't say it felt like that at the time.

The UK will go through the "most dangerous time" of the pandemic in the weeks before vaccine rollout has an impact, England's chief medical officer has warned.
Prof Chris Whitty urged people to minimise all unnecessary contact with others.
The next few weeks will be "the worst" of the pandemic for the NHS, he said.
Thousands more people are due to receive a vaccine this week after seven mass centres opened across England.
Prof Whitty told BBC One's Breakfast: "This is everybody's problem. Any single unnecessary contact you have with someone is a potential link in a chain of transmission that will lead to a vulnerable person."
He said there were over 30,000 people [in English hospitals alone] with Covid-19 - compared to about 18,000 [in England] at the peak last April.
He added that "anybody who is not shocked" by the number of people in hospital "has not understood this at all".
"This is an appalling situation," he said.

Unless you're a footballer, in which case keep touching, sweating, and spitting on twenty-one others for ninety minutes a weekend.

Here we go. As mentioned on a different thread, had to take an elderly relative who lives in the Clifton area for her 2nd jab yesterday, that involved driving across The Downs, this is what was going on at Sea Walls at around 2-30 yesterday afternoon. We are a nation infested with morons. Attachments:

It's not hard to follow is it..?, but unfortunately there are many still not following the rules.
Morrisons will bar customers who refuse to wear face coverings from its shops amid rising coronavirus infections.
From Monday, shoppers who refuse to wear face masks offered by staff will not be allowed inside, unless they are medically exempt.
The announcement comes amid concerns that social distancing measures are not being adhered to in supermarkets.
Vaccines minister Nadhim Zahawi said the government is "concerned" shops are not enforcing rules strictly enough.
"Ultimately, the most important thing to do now is to make sure that actually enforcement - and of course the compliance with the rules - when people are going into supermarkets are being adhered to," Mr Zahawi told Sky News.
"We need to make sure people actually wear masks and follow the one-way system," he said.
Security guards at the UK's fourth-biggest supermarket chain will be enforcing the new rules.

But who would be left to study Modern Dance Theory at UK universities or Tree Climbing at your very own Cornell University?

I'll be going to Morrisons whilst they are stopping non mask wearers entry.Happy about this and it's about time. This evening I put some petrol in my van and noticed a couple of people go into the shop without a mask on.I tapped on the night time pay window. The cashier waved for me to come inside to pay.I refused and paid from outside. I'm fed up of these stupid non mask wearing people.

I follow the beat of your drum TWD. My solution is for us to recognize the munificence of a manufacturing based society. But that's another (long) story ... But who would be left to study Modern Dance Theory at UK universities or Tree Climbing at your very own Cornell University? After a stimulating 30 hour week working on the smartphone production line or engineering component parts for solar powered vehicles I'm sure many folk would like nothing better than to spend some time studying modern dance theory or tree climbing. But these activities have no place in a taxpayer subsidized education system so a perfect home for them would be in the private sector and ideally at a venue such as the Bristol Rovers Sports and Leisure Park. Once people start filling their lives with worthwhile activities, and enjoying the health benefits and sense of satisfaction these bring, they are unlikely to choose to go looking for grievances or have any desire to take part in anti social behavior.
