Perhaps in a direction where the manager does not physically assault other managers? Good riddance.

Apparent bust up with Evans andso called sacked him,but the owner has sorted it once and for all, not sure if Barton is still under court orders for his assault case or was that sorted?

Hes done a great job.
Besides his well publicised issues, hes an attractive proposition, young, played at high level and had fleetwood playing an attractive game.

Our win against Fleetwood around Christmas a couple of years ago (the one where both Evans and Barton were sent off) was the most fun I've had at a football match in years. Hard to have any liking for Barton himself who really does seem a nasty piece of work but I wouldn't be being honest if I didn't admit that I enjoy the atmosphere people like that can drum up on occasion. Part of lower league football for me-and there's not as much of it as there used to be which I'm supposed to say is for the best but it wouldn't be the honest answer.
Give me Joey Barton, Steve Evans, Martin Allen, Neil Warnock, early years Ollie, Ian Atkins and any number of other grade A wind up merchants. It can create a cracking ding-dong and a glorious sense of collective righteousness when we win. My ultimate game is one where the opposition do some very dirty tricks, wind up the crowd, get a dodgy penalty to go 1 up, spend the whole 2nd half under the kosh while we batter down the door but miss chance after chance, then they have a man sent off and we get 2 goals in the last few minutes one of which shouldn't count which causes a touchline rumble while the crowd is going mental. Lower league football at its finest. Does that make me a terrible person?

Perhaps in a direction where the manager does not physically assault other managers? Good riddance. It's a stain on a football club to have recruited such an offender to such a position. We know what sort of a club recruit like Fleetwood Town do. They'd be missed by very few.

Hes done a great job. Besides his well publicised issues, hes an attractive proposition, young, played at high level and had fleetwood playing an attractive game. Barton's time at Fleetwood - 2017-18 season 16th, 2018-19 season 11th, 2019-20 season 6th and now placed 10th on his departure. Joey Barton has admitted he 'didn't always get it right' but has vowed to 'keep getting better' following his acrimonious sacking by Fleetwood Town. The 38-year-old was dismissed by the League One club on Monday in the wake of a dressing room bust-up with striker Ched Evans. Barton took exception to a comedy skit performed by Evans at a team meeting and the pair got into a heated row following last month's 1-0 defeat at Swindon Town. Barton declared later that Evans had no future at Fleetwood and the 32-year-old was suspended. But it was Barton who got the boot this week after two-and-a-half years in charge.

I can see him dropping out of football and becoming a French teacher.

I had the pleasure of seeing him in his one and only Old Firm game. He did a great job of talking himself up beforehand and many Rangers fans thought he could become their own version of their Bete Noire Scott Brown. I even saw a banner outside the ground proclaiming he was there to 'f up Fenians'.
Sadly 90 minutes of being run ragged and a 5-1 tonking meant I never got to saw the spectacle again. He lasted a whole 5 games.
