I think Scottish Labour would be strongly in favour of independence after 10 years of English Tory government. But I do not profess to speak with any authority on that.

I think Scottish Labour would be strongly in favour of independence after 10 years of English Tory government. But I do not profess to speak with any authority on that. Sorry to be a pedant. But the last 6 years we have had a Government of the Conservative and Unionist Party (present in all 4 nations - the DUP is effectively the Tory Party in N. Ireland). So it's not the "English Tory Govt". From 2010-2015 there was a formal Government coalition between the Conservative and Unionist Party and the LibDems. (Although of course I concede that the Tory Party were by far the more dominant partner in the coalition). Anyway - surely if you're strongly in favour of Independence / more devolved powers, your vote has already gone to the SNP? Isn't this fundamentally why Labour support has collapsed north of the border?

In that case I'm out of answers. Support for independence polling at 49% in Scotland is a complete mystery to me too.

The SNP and their activists are not to be trusted. It's as if the significant majority winning side from 2014 don't exist.
In these days of shocking change who knows what's next?
But for the SNP to lead Scotland to separate from our United Kingdom and then kneel at the EU alter, the current lay of the land needs an earthquake.

And of course the PM would be castigated for not visiting Scotland and ignoring their plight if he didn't go. Ms Sturgeon MUST find a negative angle. Sounds like there are problems with the speed of the vaccine roll out north of the border and he's trying to find out why. Nothing to see here. move along.

If it's anything like the SNP's management of health and education there will probably be plenty to see, and the PM is probably right to want to investigate what mess she's made this time.

That might be a tenable argument. But it has one fatal flaw. Its Boris Johnson, "100,000 plus dead, I tried my best", Johnson. Johnson, lets reopen schools for one day, schools are safe then says keep them closed until March 8th THE NEXT DAY. Where do the Tories find these people, him and his mate, the Minister for the 18th Century. Cheech & Chong of British politics. You cannot blame the Scots for recoiling in horror.

Which of Rees-Moggs' views particularly upsets you, or is it just that he happened to be born to a Lord? You should make an effort to meet him. Sky sent the rather unpleasant Kay Burley to his home, it appeared that even she quite enjoyed his company. Will find a link to it later today, it's on YouTube.

Is this bloke you've just quoted the low life thug who beat a fox to death with a cricket bat? I'll take someone who pronounces their Ts at the end of words over that, if it's OK with you.

Making it up again. Do you agree that our executive should be accountable for how they spend our tax, or the money they borrow on our account? Simple yes or no will suffice.

You've called Rees-Mogg a childish name but won't explain why. I suggested that he's actually quite personable, but you aren't interested, you just want to name call. I then asked whether the person you've quoted is the animal who beat a fox to death in his garden with a cricket bat. Was that a difficult question? I made no comment whatsoever on the content of your quote, just who you were quoting. Do you agree that Biden is moronic and irresponsible to instigate super-spreader human caravans marching towards America's southern border? Yes or No will do, have asked several times over a few days already.

We were talking about Rees-Mogg, it's you who attacked his character and are now trying to change the subject. You do this all the time, accuse others of what you are guilty of yourself in an attempt to deflect attention. Yes, it's the job of the opposition to hold the government to account. And? Now, about him beating that fox top death with a cricket bat, as you've ignored it twice you are obviously struggling to condemn him. No doubt you'll bluster and claim that 'of course I condemn that' now, just a shame you needed to be asked to do it 3 times.

Rather than cut the netting that the fox was trapped in,he beat it to death.
