Dear all Guzzlers no longer writing here, I hope you all still read Gas Guzzler. I hope you're not on ducking Facebook. I hope you and your families are well. I hope you restart writing on the Guzzler. If not, I hope you get these wishes: I wish you a very merry Christmas all. Best wishes, Shoves.

Yeah - I'd echo that. But duck quacks don't echo, or do they? Happy Christmas to all past and present contributors, and to the wider footballing community. Even those south of the river. UTG.

I'm still here, oh fancy duck. I haven't jumped ship, just run a bit ragged with one thing and another. Definitely not on facebook, twitter, or any other social media sites. Can't be doing with those.
I wish the others would come back. I do hope they still read at least - I miss their contributions. Personally I have had a rotten year and this place has always been a little refuge for me. It's not the same lately, but there we go - people have their reasons. I live in hope they will join us again soon.

It's been a miserable year all round. I hope we all have a better 2021. Enjoy the game.

Perhaps they have gone disillusioned with all things Rovers I did in September. The signing of Messi and appointment of Tisdale got me interested again.

I hope this place doesn’t degenerate into political farce and talk of what happened in 2006. There is a time and place for that and I’d like to think this is not some kind of club for those who wish to hold onto what'sdone. The posters mentioned are certainly missed by me

We've lost Darlo Gas now too. He's been a bit Karma Chameleon for quite a while. Any reason to think he won't be back - he's been on quite a bit during ifollow matches?

Dragging out my soapbox again, threads soon go off-track and/or descend into petty, sometimes engineered, squabbles and even insults sometimes personal. It’s hurtful to receive insults (apart for the wind up merchants) and tiresome to observe. Once a thread starts to deteriorate I give up following it and often there is little good stuff to read. Posters should expect some argument, but not insults bordering on bullying.

I always liked to hear Bambi's side of things because he would often back up his arguments with some kind of reasoning. However, he did like to dish it out but wasn't so good at taking it back . He was, but I had a peek at Uncle Eppers's experimental General Football thread for Brexit, Scum, and Villainy, and I think this engagement upset him, and he now shows as Deleted. Another pity. We ought to be able to deviate onto current affairs without upsetting each other and losing friends, but sometimes we fail in this pursuit.

No idea why Darlo took such umbrage at the comment Epping made.

No idea why Darlo took such umbrage at the comment Epping made. I thought it odd too. It seemed that he was annoyed that Epping had assumed he was a Brit, so why he didn't just correct him (if it needed correcting) I don't know.
