One proviso of the bail out is that there are no transfer fees involved in January window.
Just great.

Seems fair. You do realise that only applies to clubs that take the second part of the package? The "monnitered grant"
I couldn't find the full rules, all it said was that clubs who receive a monnitered grant will be subject to transfer and wages restrictions.
Nothing to do with the initial 375k grant though.

Not sure about all the intricacies, it's looks like there is a 20k ceiling on any transfer as well post Jan.

Not a loan, still a grant...which is why it is issued with restrictions. Wouldn't be right if a club is given extra funds to keep themselves afloat, then go out and purchase a new player a few months later.

The sensible part of me says if clubs are so hard up they shouldn’t be spending money on transfer fees anyway. But that will be decided individually by clubs deciding if they need to spend so they won’t take the loan part of it. The cynical part of me thinks that the PL would like to stop transfer fees and make lower league clubs dependent upon getting their younger players on loan. They are finding it hard to get their B teams into the league so this could be a back door way. Perhaps I’m a bit paranoid about this but we need to stay vigilant and read the small print. UTG!
