Fair play, BG says this performance is not good enough and although he dwelled on the penalty that should never have been, he did apologise to the fans.

To be fair, he didn't mention the ref until directly asked. I was surprised by the number of "unacceptable", "I apologise" and "not good enough" comments at the start of the interview. It was noticeably different to most of his other interviews

But he was goal-side of the defender and the result was inevitable. Yes - one of those 'clip the heals jobs'. If the guy gets goalside and there is contact from behind he will go down. 90% of the time that will be penalty. It was clumsy defending rather than deliberate but it was a penalty. Also, who cares? We were 2 goals behind at the time anyway and showing no signs of getting back into it at all. The 3rd goal killed us - nothing that happened after that really mattered. |

Close to offside but why was Nicholson left, wrong side, marking Evans when we have three central defenders?
Nicholson also left wanting for the third, was that his job to get a challenge in? Should one of the defenders have been closer.
Nicholson was a strength going forward but we were then weak down that side of the pitch. Maybe Ehmer better in middle of the three, not sure why Baldwin plays central.
