Apparently Greg Clark has resigned, after addressing members of the Department of Culture,Media and Sport.
Clark took this action after using the phrase "coloured players".
He then goose stepped around the room,Roman salute on full display,in scenes not witnessed since Basil Fawltys "don't mention the war" episode.
I made the previous sentence up,but Greg Clark resigning for saying "coloured players" seems as ridiculous as the Fawlty Towers episode.
Would he still be in the job if he had said 'players of colour'?

No doubt a lot of people will be delighted that they have managed to demonstrate their moral superiority.
He also made the observation that there appear to be more staff from one particular part of the world in one FA department, so maybe there was a cultural influence that produced that career preference. But of course that, along with just about everything else to the rabid left these days, was racist.
Dangerous times.

I have been chastised for occasionally and inadvertently using it myself and I abhor racism. Maybe at some point in the future, we may have to stop calling our red friends the S**t or inbreds, how hard would that be! I find it difficult to believe his resignation would be solely for using that now derogatory word so I suspect this was the straw that broke the camels back and there are deeper underlying reasons for his departure that have yet to be revealed.

I've only just read the BBC report on this. It opens saying the report contains "offensive language". What follows is, well, mild to say the least. As has been said he might have been looking for a way out anyway.

(in fact it's a case of 'completely believable Jeff') Eni Aluko publicly took him to the cleaners at that (parliamentary?) hearing, and he seemed to confirm some people's ideas of the FA being run by dinosaurs which might or might not be fair on him, but it sure looked that way

Yes Jeff, this is incident alone does'nt look a resignation matter. It would be nice to know what other reason/s. On purely a football note,I think (not sure) Clark might be Prem B team fan and if that is true, then I won't miss his views.

I did initially think that I could make a similar mistake to what Greg Clarke said, however, he made a number of comments in the same conversation that clearly shows he should not be in his current position and has quite correctly resigned. To be honest, he should have been sacked following his response following the demise of Bury.

Very much agree Bambi. Nothing else to add. Yeah But what about short ass gingers? Normal level of contribution from you, nothing of any value to add. Here's an idea, why don't you go back to the other forum with your angry, bitter left wing friends and continue to round on anybody who dares speak out of place. This forum is better without you. Bye.

Bye. Oh dear. ððð Didn't deny that you and your little group, aided by one of the moderators, are thoroughly unpleasant to anybody who dares to express a different opinion. That says all that needs saying. You really are an unpleasant person. I wouldn't care if I never heard of or saw you again, please just go to the other forum, all you do is cause problems wherever you go.

Are you sure you're not being just the slightest bit silly? oldie belongs here, thanks. Had you have been subjected to a campaign of harassment by his little gang on the other forum you may well take a different view. Thoroughly unpleasant individual with a history of extremely unpleasant, expletive laden outbursts. I'm surprised and disappointed that you regard that as what you want of this place. In fact, I don't think it is what you want and rather suspect that you had forgotten what happens when people engage with that forum character, it gets very nasty. We are all better off without someone who has demonstrated on multiple occasions that he's incapable of controlling his temper. It's actually about protecting this forum from your bitter vitriol, as you well know. So off you go Oldie, take your toxic attitude to the other place, it's not welcome here.
